STATEMENT FROM THE SHAKEOUT PODCAST:
On behalf of The Shakeout Podcast and Canadian Running Magazine, we want to express our collective grief following the murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and countless other Black and Indigenous peoples across North America at the hands of state sanctioned violence. We also recognize that we have failed to adequately and responsibly represent the diversity of our audience, and of the running community at large. We have spent the past weeks exploring ways to remedy this inexcusable problem. We have a renewed commitment to sharing diverse stories from the running world, and using our platforms to amplify melanated and marginalized voices. If you, or someone you know has a story you think should be shared on The Shakeout, please feel free to email us at [email protected] You can also connect with us on IG, Facebook and Twitter at @ShakeoutPodcast.
