We sat down with former Iowa swimmer and coach Emma Sougstad and current Iowa senior Sage Ohlensehlen to discuss Iowa cutting it's swimming and diving programs. The duo described Iowa's program history and what the program has done for them as individuals as well as the communities they're involved in. Sage expressed her concern that this will not only affect the University of Iowa swimmers but the swimming community as a whole, setting a precedent for other major schools to act similarly.

We sat down with Zach Yeadon, the distance ace who recently transferred from Notre Dame to Cal for his last year of eligibility. Yeadon explains that without COVID, he would have stayed at Notre Dame. However, with all the uncertainty surrounding water availability and training for the upcoming 2021 Olympic Trials, Zeadon wanted to go somewhere he had a higher chance of having pool time.

Each coach gave their perspective on their SEC performances, what their doing to engage athletes currently, and how this quarantine period could affect athletes once they get back into the pool.

We sat down with Diversity in Aquatics, an organization with the goal "To increase the knowledge and awareness of water safety and drowning prevention, and aquatic physical activities in historically underrepresented communities and vulnerable populations." I spoke with CEO Miriam Lynch and Governing Board Member Ken Roland about what Diversity in Aquatics is doing to increase this knowledge and what we as the swimming community can do to spread this as well.
