  • Yamal stars for Barca + who’s going to win the Europa League?

Jimbo is joined by James Horncastle, Tom Williams, Pol Ballus and Seb Stafford-Bloor after another busy weekend of football on the Continent. There’s late disaster in Serie A for Juventus as their own loanee Vasilije Adžić scores a stoppage time winner against them for Sassuolo.

But the good news for the Old Lady is that they’re joint favourites to win the Europa League this season, along with AC Milan who are still unbeaten under Ruben Amorim. Will it be an Italian side who lifts the trophy, or might we see Bournemouth, Sunderland or Crystal Palace upsetting the odds?

Lamine Yamal keeps scoring for Barcelona, who’re averaging more than four goals a game at the top of La Liga: three points above Real Madrid who are back to winning ways under Jose Mourinho.

Elsewhere in Germany, Freiburg are top of the Bundesliga, despite Bayern beating new boys Elversberg on Sunday. And in France, PSG win for the first time domestically this season.

  • Ten-man City win Manchester derby after controversial Haaland goal

It’s a big win for Enzo Maresca and for Man City’s title credentials as they come away from Old Trafford with all three points.

Champions Arsenal come through a stern test at Sunderland but make it 4 wins out of 4 this season with Bruno Guimaraes scoring a fabulous first Gunners goal.

Hull City preserve their unbeaten start to this season with a stellar display at Chelsea, drawing 2-2.

Ipswich are also victorious at Crystal Palace but it’s not going so well for the other promoted side Coventry. No goals and no points after a 5-0 drubbing at home to Brighton.

Speaking of no goals, Tottenham draw 0-0 with Everton to make it four blanks at the start of the season for the first time in club history.

More big wins for the big guns in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Jimbo, Duncan Alexander, Daniel Storey and Adrian Clarke to reflect on the action and preview a big Premier League weekend.

Liverpool come from behind to see off Atletico at Anfield. Has Iraola restored the spirit amongst the Reds? And can Barcola play on the right?

Arsenal smash Napoli on xG but claim a narrow 1-0 win in Naples. Martin Odegaard with another 9/10 performance. Next up a trip to defensively solid Sunderland on Saturday.

Elsewhere PSG and Barcelona turn on the style, scoring 11 goals between them.

  • Real Madrid pick Inter’s pockets + who will win the Ballon d’Or?

Jimbo welcomes Julien Laurens, Duncan Alexander and Pol Ballús onto the pod after night 1 of the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid don't have much of the ball and are outshot by Inter but they get the 3 points. Is it enough to satisfy the fans at the Bernabeu?

The Ballon d’Or nominees are also announced. Could we have an English winner for the first time in 25 years?

The English are winners on the continent on Tuesday with Aston Villa getting their first goals of the season in Bruges and Erling Haaland making it 59 goals in 59 Champions League appearances in Porto.

It's a great night for Troy Parrott, a bad one for Ethan Mbappe, and Serhou Guirassy makes strange history.

  • Mourinho's Madrid beaten - and the Champions League returns!

The Champions League is back and it’s time for a Euro Show preview.

Pol Ballus is back on the pod alongside James Richardson, James Horncastle and Tom Williams as Real Madrid go into Matchweek 1 of the Champions League having lost for the first time since the return of Jose Mourinho. Troy Parrott scores the only goal for Real Betis to leave Barcelona three points clear at the top of La Liga.

Their Champions League opponents Inter Milan are one of three teams near the top of Serie A to profit from late goals at the weekend, but it’s not good news for Fabio Grosso who’s become the first manager casualty of the season: sacked after just three games in charge of Fiorentina.

PSG take on Yaya Toure’s Slovan Bratislava, who’ll hope to continue the Parisians’ domestic misery after Monaco win 2-1 at the Parc des Princes.

In Germany, Bayern Munich fail to score in a competitive game for the first time in 59 matches. And what’s going on with Julian Alvarez at Atletico Madrid? They’ve got a trip to Anfield next.

  • Totally Extra: Andy Cole - the Premier League's most underrated goalscorer?

James and the panel open up the Totally Extra almanac on one of the Premier League's greatest goalscorers, Andy Cole.

Jimbo is joined by Daniel Storey, Tom Williams and special guest Andy Mitten, who brings some personal insight and some great stories, having just been on a talking tour of Ireland with the man himself.

A legend at Man Utd and Newcastle, only four players have scored more Premier League goals than his 187, but is he in some ways the forgotten striker?

Born in Nottinghamshire, his Jamaican born father was a coal miner who wanted Andy to play cricket. He got his break at Bristol City before Newcastle snapped him up, where he formed a deadly partnership with Peter Beardsley amid a record-breaking debut Premier League campaign.

Ferguson then signed him and he enjoyed a hugely succesful period at Man Utd alongside his striker partner Dwight Yorke. He scored great goals and important goals, helping Man Utd to win the treble in 99.

But is is he still underappreciated?

Plus, a strike duo quiz question from producer Charlie.

Produced by Charlie Jones, Xavi Bird and Jesse Howard.

The craziest transfer window ever has been shut - now it’s time for the football / podcasters to do the talking.

Jimbo welcomes Natalie Gedra, Nick Miller and Julien Laurens into the studio ahead of a Premier League weekend headlined by Arsenal against Chelsea.

Arteta and Alonso have both managed two victories out of two in very different ways. Which will win out this Sunday? The control of the champions or the chaos of the Blues?

Everton host Man United and a mutinous home crowd after a disastrous Deadline Day that leaves them with only 18 outfield players. Could David Moyes walk away?

Man City broke records with their expenditure, bringing in Ndiaye and Fernandez on Deadline Day. Do they almost have too much talent for Maresca to handle?

Spurs reunite Mykhailo Mudryk with Roberto De Zerbi as they seek a first point or goal of the season away at Forest.

  • Fernandes on fire for United as Chelsea show title credentials?

It’s an LA reunion as Jimbo, Tom Williams, Tim Spiers and Felipe Cardenas react to Matchday 2 in the Premier League.

Having lost at Hull, Man United went behind to Ipswich at Old Trafford. But then Bruno Fernandes got involved with the first hat-trick of this PL season. Did the Red Devils get lucky with their second goal though?

Xabi Alonso’s Chelsea look to be the most entertaining side in the division as they make it two wins out of two by beating Brighton 4-3. Could Palmer, Pedro and co lead a title charge for the Blues?

It’s been a record-breaking window but two defeats out of two for Spurs. They lose at home again to resurgent Newcastle. Roberto De Zerbi looks to be getting another new player in the form of Iliman Ndiaye.

Andoni Iraola is still awaiting his first Liverpool win but his side come from behind twice again to rescue a point against Forest.
