The Lord is eager to share revelatory experiences with the our children, grandchildren, and youth of the church as a whole. A beautiful illustration of the Lord giving "babes and sucklings" a thinning of the veil experience is powerfully taught in 3 Nephi. This episode is a testament to how a parent's influence on their children matters, but also the special capacity of our children to receive very clear instructions from the Lord. Our youth truly have been sent with powers and gifts that allow them to have these special interactions with their ancestors in order that they might gather Israel in a more effective and efficient way as the Lord is accelerating the pace of this holy work. Truly out of the mouths of babes do we hear voices crying from the dust.

One of the biggest lessons taught in the Book of Ether, is that part of the reason why the veil isn't parting in our lives is because of our unbelief. Just in chapter 4 alone, unbelief was mentioned over 10 times in some form. This episode actually examines and shines a light on not only what unbelief is, but also some of the causes. The thinning of the veil cannot and will not happen in our lives, if we do not believe that it can. Why would Moroni include the story of the Brother of Jared in the record for our day? It is a start to finish pattern of how one believing son, tore the veil open revealing Jesus Christ. Our current prophet has talked about parting the veil. These two witnesses testify of our invitation to not only part the veil, but rend the veil, along with many other recorded testimonies of the same. Unbelief that it can happen is probably the most significant deterrent for it happening to us as individuals. But we are not without hope, for when we understand what unbelief is, we can begin to whittle it away in our lives and the thinning of the veil becomes a sweet interaction between heaven and earth.

We share DNA with our forbears and inherit certain physical traits and characteristics. We also share spiritual traits and characteristics from our ancestors. What is the difference between and an angel and ministering spirit, and why does it matter??? This episode goes into more detail about what to expect when we have a beholding of angel or ministering spirit encounter. No doubt that the veil is thin when we have messengers sent from the other side to strengthen and uplift us. While we are called upon from the Lord to minister to those on the other side of the veil, the Lord also calls upon our ancestors  to minister to us, their descendants. Their "ministering assignments" are to help those whom they love in the flesh through differing means and ways. Angels and ministering spirits are part of the army that are sent to help in the Gathering of Israel by providing protection, give loving messages from above, warning of potential pitfalls, and guiding us safely home. -Many of us assume that we have only the gifts that are mentioned in our patriarchal blessings. Many also assume that they understand what their spiritual gifts mean. This episode gives ideas on how we might reframe our gifts that we have been blessed with and also teaches how to magnify them, that they almost become second nature to us.  We are taught that we need to seek after the best gifts as we Gathering of Israel. In the work of the gathering, there are particular gifts that move the work forward at an accelerated pace.  Some of these gifts include the spirit of discernment, the beholding of angels and ministering spirits, and the seeking of miracles. As we seek for these gifts, and gather Israel we will magnify the talents that we already have and multiply other talents as they are revealed to us by a loving Heavenly Father.
