  • This ENTREPRENEUR'S Life: Season 1, EP 08-Am I Good Enough? with special guest Megan Kristel
Hi Friends! On this final episode of season 1 of our podcast miniseries, This ENTREPRENEURS Life, we are joined by my good friend, and colleague, Megan Kristel founder of The Well Dressed Life. Meg was one of my first guests early on in TOL (you can listen to our conversation in episode 017). I asked Meg to come on the show to talk about some things that I suspect most entrepreneurs experience at one time or another, but don’t often talk about:  AM I GOOD ENOUGH. Some might call this, IMPOSTERS SYNDROME, or self-doubt, but ultimately, it’s the feeling of inadequacy. Meg and I pull back the curtain with our listeners, and get real about things like:  »Mom Guilt »Not turning a profit fast enough »Not having enough social media followers/newsletter subscribers »Re-inventing yourself »Feeling stretched too thin I love this episode. It's filled with honesty, authenticity, and actionable strategies.  I can't guarantee that these feelings won't happen, but if those self-doubt, fearful thoughts creep into your mind, come back to this episode and know that you are not alone.  CONNECT WITH MEGAN   WEBSITE | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM Share the love! If you know someone who would find value in what we talked about, would you do us both a favor and SHARE this episode? (it’s literally as simple as clicking the share button!) If you liked what you heard, would you mind taking a moment to click the 5-star button and write a brief review? • Ep 105: The Connection between Gift Giving & Love Languages
Today we are talking all about the connection of gift giving and the 5 love languages.  According to Gary Chapman, there are five ways we express and experience love --which he calls "love languages."    The 5 love languages are:  Acts of Service, Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Quality Time & Receiving Gifts.  In our conversation, we talk about specific gifts that are appreciated by each love language.  If you liked this podcast please share it with a friend! Below is a cheat sheet with all the ideas we discussed on the episode: ACTS OF SERVICE: Give them a day off Do their chores; be proactive in helping Making a meal for someone Doing something selfless for someone Volunteering your time QUALITY TIME: Plan a romantic weekend away Schedule routine date nights Committing a certain amount of time technology free every day Take a Road Trip Taking a class together PHYSICAL TOUCH: Cuddling/Hugs Back rubs/foot rubs Massages Be intentional about showing affection (ie kissing hello and goodbye) Holding hands WORDS OF AFFIRMATION: Framed quote Inspirational message book Handwritten letter Make them a mix tape Public validation (ie social media)  GIFTS: Buy them concert tickets when their favorite band is in town After a trip, bring home a souvenir or trinket that made you think of them Order their favorite childhood candy or snack ― bonus points if it’s a regional treat or something that has since been discontinued Tip: Keep a note in your phone of specific things your loved ones mention wanting or needing so you have a list of gift ideas for birthdays, anniversaries, holidays or just because. Hi Friends! On episode 5 of our miniseries, This ENTREPRENEUR'S Life, we are joined by my buddy, Jason Moore from AWeber. If you are new to the email marketing space, there are a LOT of options out there to choose from (which can be overwhelming in itself!). Trust me, I know! I have tried almost all of them out!
