Hi Friends! For episode 3 of our mini-series, we are joined by my husband, Josh, who you may remember from episode 86 & episode 87 of This ORGANIZED Life (and if you're new to our show, I suggest that after you are done listening to this episode, you head back into the archives and listen-you won't be disappointed!) Today, instead of talking about his obsession with laundry, Josh gives our listeners the 411 on what they need to know when creating a digital footprint. We talk about basic strategies to consider when creating a website, or building a social media platform. He talks about how to avoid common pitfalls many entrepreneurs fall into, and how to best maximize your marketing $$$, even if it's next to nothing! This episode is filled with great information–you can check out our entire conversation below: CONNECT WITH JOSH  LINKEDIN  Share the love! • Our 100th Episode!!!
Today is a HUGE milestone for This ORGANIZED Life!  We are celebrating our 100th episode!   To be honest, when I embarked on this venture,I had no clue how to structure a show, book a guest, or put together "show notes" (seriously, I was clueless), but somehow by the grace of God ( and some help from my producer), I figured it out.  Fast forward to almost 2 years later, and here we are....EPISODE 100.   Leading up to todays show, I gave my trusty side-kick, Erika, some homework:  To go through the archives and pick her top 5 favorite episodes.  Without comparing, we both revealed our list on air. I encourage you to join us in our walk down memory lane, in this historic episode: If you liked this episode will you take a moment to share it? (we have a nifty little share button at the top of this post!) • This ENTREPRENEUR'S Life: Season 1, Ep 01-Turning Your Passion Into a Profession
Hi Everyone!  The last several months I have been working on a new project, and I am super excited to finally share it with all of you. But before I do, allow me to give you the quick back-story: Many of our loyal This ORGANIZED Life community either owns their own business, or are thinking about starting one, but may not know how or where to begin. I know, firsthand, how overwhelming and isolating it can be running your own company, especially if you are doing it alone. Throughout the course of my career, I have come to realize that most entrepreneurs are talented at what they do, but often struggle with the strategic and tactical tools of knowing how to effectively run a business.   Last year I began mentoring other professional organizers, which I absolutely love, but regardless of your industry, many of the same basic struggles apply. Whether it's knowing how to legitimize your business, create a digital footprint, or build an online community, there are countless questions that can leave you paralyzed with fear and insecurity. If you can relate, can I get a "heck yeah!" So I reached out to a bunch of friends who happen to be industry experts in their respective fields, and asked them if they'd be willing to to chat with me for a new podcast mini-series I was creating. I had one simple goal in mind: To provide simple, actionable strategies to help you grow your business- so that you can focus on what you do best. We broke those interviews into an 8-part miniseries called: This ENTREPRENEUR'S Life. "Whether you are just starting out, or knee deep in the weeds it’s never too late to surround yourself with smart people." Share the love! If you know someone who would find value in what we talked about, would you do us both a favor and SHARE this episode? (it's literally as simple as clicking the share button!)   Want More? She walks us through, how to approach her ever-popular Project333 which stands for 3 months, 33 items (with a few exclusions!)  Honestly, after our conversation, it seemed way more do-able than I first thought.  I'd love to know your thoughts. Today we are joined by Courtney Carver: Author, Speaker and founder of the fashion Project 333 & the popular blog, Be More With Less.com.  Courtney changed her life by simplifying it after a devastating diagnosis in 2006.  I read Courtney's book Soulful Simplicity this past summer and was completely inspired to rethink what lives inside my closet. • Ep 096: Fall Organizing Tips with special guest, Kristi Santilli
On today's show we are joined by fellow Organizer and SBO Partner, Kristi Santilli, founder of Organized by Kristi in Massachusetts.  We chat about how/when to flip out and store seasonal items (a real issue for us in the North East!)  Kristi had so many ideas we ran out of time to share them all! In addition to the one's mentioned in our episode, here's a few more tips for you to try: 1. Have a spot in your home for taking off wet, snowy clothes! Whether it be in your entry way, basement, garage or laundry room, designate a spot for everyone to remove their wet clothes and hang them up to dry         2. Put down a few boot trays or old towels so that they can absorb the drips. This is a must so that you don't have puddles of snow, salt and slush all around your house!         3. Have a supply of hot cocoa on hand for wintery, snowy days! (Ok, so this isn't so much of Kristi's tip, but her 7 year old son's idea!)       Check out our entire conversation below: CONNECT WITH KRISTI FACEBOOK  |  WEBSITE  |  INSTAGRAM ***Our sponsor for today's episode is our good friends at Organized Living!  I've been using their adjustable Freedom Rail closet system in my clients' homes for years.
