Yoga can be a great form of spiritual practice or a method of physical activity. One less common way to practice that deserves attention, however, is through embodiment. Mark Walsh is a powerful advocate and teacher of embodiment through yoga. By focusing on ourselves and how certain posed make us feel, we can really connect with our feeling and our personalities on a deeper level.
Mark’s embodiment yoga courses teaches us how to utilize the different archetypes present in yoga poses to strengthen those aspects of ourselves to which we have weaker connections. Embodiment practices can teach us that Warrior two makes us feel confident and warrior-like, but also how we can utilize similar micro-poses in our everyday lives to give us access to those same systems of being. Finding these new connections within our own bodies allows us to also form better connections with the world around us - something that can benefit anyone willing to give it a try.

Joel Einhorn began his journey into an entrepreneur of Ayurvedic medicine with a personal tragedy. In 2008, he was in a bike accident that lead to a traumatic brain injury. Desperately in need of a treatment that would help him heal, he found himself introduced to an Ayurvedic doctor. After a treatment regimen of herbal remedies, he found himself stronger than ever in a matter of months.
With a newfound desire to share the powerful healing properties of herbal remedies with others, he founded HANAH. Now, he is bringing sustainably sourced, powerful remedies to those of us who might not otherwise find these remedies within reach.
Most recently, Joel has become involved with the herbal ecosystem in Bhutan. With a profound abundance of amazing herbs, Bhutan has the potential to sustainably export these products for the benefit of others. Recently, HANAH has released Cordyceps Flush, a product great for athletic performance and sourced from nature - not a laboratory. Their next product (embargoed, launching mid-September) is a Turmeric blend also wild-harvested in Bhutan.
The blend includes some of the world's purest turmeric with wild-harvested black pepper. In combining these two ingredients, the bioavailability of the curcurmin (the active compound in turmeric) has been found to increase by 2000% - hacking the efficacy of the ingredient. Turmeric is touted for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and has been found to help ward off heart disease and lead to improved brain function, among many other health benefits.
The astounding benefits of the products that Joel is sourcing is very clear. In the near future, we may find that a more trustworthy and natural source of herbal remedies is available for those of us far from the source.

Joel Einhorn is the founder and CEO of HANAH. He founded HANAH in 2015 out of necessity - in 2008, while training for his second Ironman triathlon, Joel was in a serious bike accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury and broken collarbone. He was unable to sleep for two days and suffered vertigo every time he closed his eyes. He was introduced to a doctor of Ayurvedic medicine who set him on a regimen of daily herbal remedies, such as ashwagandha and other ingredients now found in HANAH ONE.
Joel’s vertigo cleared within a matter of days, and in a matter of months Joel was swimming, running, and biking again – and feeling stronger than ever. As a result, he went straight to the source in Kerala, India, and created HANAH ONE – to assist and empower others on their journey. HANAH’s mission is to preserve and protect ancient medical wisdom and evolve it into remedies for modern living. They currently offer exclusive products created by the HANAH LIFE team and sourced from Bhutan and India. Coonect with Joel on HANAH Facebook, HANAH Twitter, HANAH Living Instagram and HANAH Website.

Fern Olivia found herself at rock bottom when she fainted in a New York City subway and was rushed to the hospital. She now interprets this event as her soul wanting her to know that she was in misalignment with herself. After finding that the standard medical prescriptions weren’t healing her, she began a journey of investing in herself and her health through yoga and Ayurveda. Now, free from Hashimoto's disease, she lives in Nosara, Costa Rica, where she fills her days with the activities that she feels really align with her body and her desires.
Fern and Cate chat about the power of autodetermination, and how we have so much more power in our lives that we may believe. Taking that step and acknowledging that “everything that can be is within you” allows us to realize the boundlessness of such a path. Anyone is capable of autodetermination, it just take a long and arduous path to achieve that kind of power. By tapping into our intuition and clairvoyance, we can heal our bodies and souls through purification and detoxification rituals.
By allowing ourselves to change and listening to our bodies’ needs, we can even heal our thyroid of the toxic residue that weighs it down. Everyone is capable of living a freer form of their own life - we just have to take the initiative to invest in ourselves and the journey. The investment we take be in the form of classes and teachers, or in the form of time dedicated to practices and rituals. In the long run, these habits and new beliefs that we form allow us to thrive as a better version of ourselves.

She came out of her struggle with loss with new knowledge of the grieving process and with a profound desire to help other deal with loss.

That way, when the going gets tough, we are better prepared to handle our losses. The beauty about loss is that it gives us a great time to really get rid of what is not working.
By decluttering and seeing the essentials, we can restructure our lives to better fit our needs. Melanie speaks to the power of relishing in the time that we have available to us, and really cherishing our precious and delicate lives.

James Clear’s life was forever changed when he faced a devastating injury to his brain in his junior year of high school. After months of hard work and determination, he fought his way back to success in sports, school, and his life. He credits these astounding successes to his “atomic habits.” This concept is something that he wishes to share with the world.
James wants to educate people about a new revolutionizing system for change that has the potential to alter the way we pursue goals. He explains that “Atomic Habits” are the small habits that we implement in our lives that compound to give us the results we are seeking.
We often get discouraged because we expect change to be linear, when in actuality, we experience a “Plateau of Latent Potential”. By realizing that we can get 1% better everyday, and understanding that this improvement compounds, we are more motivated to put in the work that gets us to that breakthrough moment. By focusing on identity based habits and on who we want to become, we are much more likely to succeed in our level of achievement. James emphasizes the important of analyzing and being open to altering our beliefs in order to allow ourselves to grow.
The real power in this process is that it can actually lead to us evolving our beliefs in ourselves. The habit feedback loop involves the cue, the craving, the response, and the reward. By understanding the steps of habit formation, we can better create and break good and bad habits, respectively. Read all about how you can start this transformative new system with James Clear’s book, “Atomic Habits.”

In the chaotic and stimulating modern age, we often find ourselves living in our minds rather than our bodies. This can lead us to getting out of sync with the habits that allow us to thrive. Richard Hudak began his detox journey with Yogidetox in the fall of 2010, and has regularly returned to the practice seasonally ever since. When he began this transformation, he was 45 lbs heavier and out of tune with his body.
The Yogidetox program has provided him with a support community that has guided him through a powerful mental and physical transformation.
Richard and Jessica talk about how people may feel resistant when it comes to starting such a detox program. Overcoming this resistance is critical, whether it be with a support buddy or due to a sudden change in mindset. Richard’s personal journey involved getting more in touch with his physical activity needs by practicing cycling regularly. He found himself in 100k races not for the competition, but for the satisfaction of doing it for himself.
As the weight fell off and his health habits improved, Richard found his body naturally pulling him into the seasonal detoxes. With a better connection between his mind and body, Richard has been able to transform his mental and physical well-being. Learn how you can do the same for yourself with Yogidetox!
Guest BIO:
Richard Hudak "Talking about yogidetox"
My first one was fall of 2010. Also done other detoxes with other practitioners other than Kate.
We all had transformational experiences. Getting better at listening and doing what our bodies want. This has been a really big journey for you. Physical journey as well.
2:30 - I started practicing yoga at the end of 2005, certainly began a transformation. Doing the detox was complimentar to that. Trimming down, but wasn’t losing weight. Adding muscle, but adding in the yogidetox was another layer, andother, piece, andother supportive practice.” This spring was another deeper spiral in, and for me it kind of propelled me back into my love of road bycyling. Used lightness to do this. 100k charity ride. Athletic events, not competitive, but this is a different side of me I am experiencing.
4:40 - Big shifts in what he wants to do with cycling.
Teacher says to think of ourselves as athletes. Schedules supportive practices for yourselves. 25 years ago it was commuting. But to reengage that. “ Its me coming into something that I clearly have enjoyed and being better that.”
What is the next evolution of Richard
When we first begin a detox, we may start off with plenty of excitement and motivation. However, once we actually eliminate those foods and activities we are used to, we often find that our detox goals fade. Why is that? Jill and Carly discuss their multiple Yogi Detox experiences, and how their preparation and expectations changed from their first detox to their preceding ones.
Especially when we are doing a serious detox for the first time, we try to go all in with strict limits, which doesn’t lead to much success. We can easily burn out and find ourselves back with or old habits. Carly explains that YogiDetox emphasize easing into and out of the detox so that the habits actually last, and so that we feel less overwhelmed. Jill discusses her struggles with emotional eating, and how she identified her food crutches that were preventing her from facing her emotions.
The support system provided in Yogi Detox is something both Carly and Jill used to help guide them through their detoxes, allowing them to actually accomplish their goals and personal development. Ready to begin a journey that will change your life? Start with this podcast, and learn how YogiDetox can get you to thrive.

When we commit to a detox or a cleanse program - we often want to set strict boundaries and push ourselves to the limit. This can not only increase our risk of failure - but also decrease the chance that the effects of the detox last past its conclusion. Lynne describes her struggle with the tendency to “Stop, Drop, and Detox.” She explains how her perspective on the detox experience changed during her multiple experiences in the YogiDetox program and what she has learned.
Jessica and Lynne discuss how the YogiDetox program encourages easing into and out of a detox. This way, it feels less strict and it is less likely that we struggle with not returning to our old habits. Lynne emphasizes the importance of the online forum in finding support in our health and personal growth journeys - especially when we lack similarly thinking people in our day-to-day lives. The detox experience isn’t meant to be a temporary form of existence - its meant to change our lifestyles even after we exit it’s defined boundaries.
