On today’s podcast, Neve Grace Fletcher and Jessica Robinson share a juicy conversation about intimacy, sacred sexuality, and loving relationships. They discuss practices of self love and simple self care rituals in order to love yourself and your partner more deeply. They also discuss how to bring sacred energy into our everyday lives in order to live with more meaning and passion. The most important thing we can do is love ourselves; when we love ourselves we are able to show up for others, to love others and to give back to our full awareness. Our ultimate goal is to increase our capacity to love everything.

Do you wake up feeling groggy, sluggish, unclear, or ready for more sleep? Do you feel stuck, weighed down, or lethargic? Or perhaps your clothes don’t fit quite as well as they used to? If you said yes to any of these questions, there’s a good chance you have ama in your system and need to clear it out. ‘Ama’ is undigested material (food, emotions, issues) that sticks around in our physical and mental bodies, weighing us down and making us feel foggy and tired, instead of light and clear. Ama blocks the flow of consciousness, making us less awake and present in our daily lives. Jessica Graham Robinson and I talk about what ama looks like in our bodies and minds, what creates it, and how we can rid ourselves of it. Listen in to this juicy podcast for some serious detoxifying information that will help you to thrive and live an ama free life!

On today’s Dharma and Dollars show I rap with Pleasance Siliki about her life in the yoga world in D.C., owning her own business, raising a family, and staying healthy and rested through it all. We chat about starting your own business and the importance of feeling successful, integrous, and aligned with your core beliefs in the process. We discuss daily rhythms and habits, dosha types, Ayurveda and how this important ancient Indian practice shows up everywhere in life. We discuss the utmost importance of getting sound sleep, simplifying our lives, and letting go of old habits and beliefs that no longer serve us. We tap into the realization that we are truly all connected on this planet; we are whole, we are one, and we are more alike than we are different. And once we understand this idea, we can all live happier, fuller, more interconnected lives.

On today’s podcast with Alex Biondo, we look at how long it takes to dial in our Ayurvedic habits and why it’s important that we create these lifelong routines for ourselves. Many of us who participate in detoxes, cleanse groups, or my Body Thrive group, know what it is like to experience the light, clear, balanced feelings that come from eating cleanly and taking care of our bodies on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels. But what happens when we aren’t a part of a detox or Body Thrive group? What happens when we are living our everyday lives without an accountability partner and without automated habits? This is when we tend to revert back to old tendencies and outed ways of eating, exercising, and living. Listen in to our conversation and learn techniques to stay on track with your Ayurvedic habits that keep you feeling radiant, energized, vibrant, whole, and in the flow of your life.

Ashley Logsdon, creator and author of “Mama Says Namaste” podcast, has lived on the road in an RV with her husband, their 3 children, and their dog since 2016. The traditional lifestyle was not suiting them and they decided that now was the time to follow their hearts and do something different. Ashley and l chat about what it looks like to intentionally create the life you desire to live and the feelings you desire to have, right now. Ashley brings up a question that makes us think about our life paths, “Why do we have to wait for ‘one day’ for these feelings to happen? Why can’t we choose to create experiences that allow for these feelings now? “ Listen in to this podcast and learn about what it looks like to take small steps of intention everyday in the direction of your dreams. Discover what your triggers are that make you react in certain ways, learn what values you hold high and how to live up to those values. Life isn’t based on who you have been, but instead on who you are and what you are choosing to do with your life, now.

Take a moment to stop what you are doing and ask yourself how you feel right now? And then ask yourself, how do you desire to feel? Notice how those two answers differ. On today’s podcast, Alex Biondo and I discuss seasonal detoxing and detoxing for your dosha type. As you head into spring, you may want to let go of excess heaviness and weight. If you are moving into winter season then you want to feel more grounded and nourished. Perhaps you want to rid yourselves of the vata imbalances that you have acquired from season to season. Or maybe your looking to get back into sync with your bodies natural rhythms, slow down, rejuvenate, and learn some self care techniques. By detoxing our bodies and minds, we learn to fully digest not only our food but also emotions, excess doshas, toxicity, old habits and traumas. We shift our metabolism and move from superficial to deep digestion, and once we’re in this place, our attraction to the things in our lives that are superficial and unnecessary fall away naturally.

I have an inspiring conversation today with Ayurvedic Practitioner and founder of the Nourishment School, Talya Lutzker, about Ayurveda, nourishment, support, and self-love.
We rap about shedding outdated habits and perspectives by adding in more of what we desire, rather than taking away that which we need less of. We discuss deep nourishment and how it shifts our minds and bodies and allows us to be available for next big change or growth period in our lives. We talk about slowing down in order to fully receive from a more grounded, satiated, fulfilled, nourished, and peaceful place.
Slow down, be open and willing to accept support, and be present. When you accept these deep desires into your life, you will awaken to the upleveled version of yourself that you are pulled to be next, and you will soar!!

22:00- Learn to give yourself space and time to digest emotions and embrace how you feel. Draw inwards, slow down, and allow whatever needs to digest and arise to do so.
33:00- Ask yourself, who do you have the desire to be next? And move consciously into that space.

Today Alex and Biondo and I rap about intermittent fasting, bi-annual detoxing, and why these methods are so important in keeping us healthy, clear, and vibrant. Intermittent fasting, a tool historically rooted in ancient wisdom traditions, orients us towards biological efficiencies by taking the stress and overload of food off our metaphorical plate. It allows us to have more time to process food, emotions, and experiences and gives our bodies a slower, cleaner burn. Learn to use your body as a science experiment. Play with intermittent fasting and detoxing to allow yourself a break from eating and see how much clearer, lighter, more productive, energized and nourished you feel.

Today Peter Crone and I have some fascinating conversation about Ayurveda, human psychology, behavior, and interaction. Peter tells us about his first experience with Ayurveda and how he immediately adopted the science into his life and work. As a physicist, he has always been interested in who we are as humans, why we do what we do, how things work, and the principles of mother nature. We chat about why humans act, react and think in the ways that we do. We discuss how the wisdom of Ayurveda can help to open up a new world of connection and understanding, allowing us to change our old beliefs and habits. We talk about the importance of stillness and taking the time to sit, digest, assimilate and just BE. We discuss intuition, the psychology of humans, and the importance of accepting others and loving ourselves. Listen in and learn how these topics can be better understood with an Ayurvedic perspective, and learn to love and accept yourself in the process.
