With the end of the year upon us, it’s time for a lot of reflection on the year in wrestling. But one subject was so big  that we couldn’t help but devote an entire episode to: the culmination of John Cena’s final year as a professional wrestler.

In his match against Gunther, he did the one last thing he’d never done before: tap out! While we agree that it was a remarkable way for one of WWE’s all time greats to end his career, we debate on the impact of such a conclusion.

Response to the last Premium Live Event of the year has been mixed, but there were still things worth looking into: John Cena’s final match on a PLE ended in Dominik Mysterio winning back the Intercontinental Title with the help of a returning Liv Morgan. Just please tell the WWE pre-show team to stop mentioning Dom’s IRL wife, okay?

The women once again had the better of the two War Games match, between Iyo’s antics and Rhea’s star power. But let’s give a shoutout to Bron Breakker for not only getting the win for his team, but also setting the stage for his first World Title match against CM Punk in January.

And once we’ve discussed all the wrestling, it’s time to light a candle and bid fond farewell to Punk’s beloved pup, Larry.

WWE’s Crown Jewel PLE is in the books– and we actually think that Perth Australia got a pretty solid show!

Hal, Danielle and Julian discuss what they think worked: 

Roman continuing his drama with the Bloodline was really compelling and something that we missed a lot; John Cena and AJ Styles had a great match acknowledging their collective decades of wrestling; and Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes proved that they can deliver a main event on any given night.

But now there’s word that Seth is injured, a story that was seemingly backed up by the Vision turning on him. What does this mean for the World Heavyweight Championship? There’s a lot to discuss!

For years, Alicia Fox was an unsung and underappreciated hero of the WWE. These days she wrestles for TNA under the name Victoria Crawford. And because NXT and TNA are cozier than ever, the foxy one revealed that she's on her way back to a WWE ring soon. So what better time to give her her flowers?
