  • Idaho Four Families Sue WSU: 13 Complaints About Kohberger Exposed

Washington State University allegedly received 13 formal complaints about Bryan Kohberger in one semester. Stalking. Harassment. Predatory behavior toward female students. A professor who reportedly predicted he would become dangerous. Female students who developed their own warning systems because the institution wouldn't protect them.

The families of the four murdered Idaho students have taken their lawsuit to federal court, alleging WSU had threat assessment protocols and didn't use them — allowing Kohberger to keep his teaching position, university housing, and access to students right up until the killings.

Former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer breaks down the Title IX claims, the "deliberate indifference" standard, and what federal discovery might reveal about how badly this institution failed.

  • Au Pair Affair Trial Of Brendan Banfield: Brendan Banfield is Back in the Courtroom for the Verdict - Found GUILTY on All Counts!

The GUILTY Verdict was handed down to Brendan Banfield, the former IRS agent charged with four counts of aggravated murder in the deaths of his wife Christine Banfield and Joseph Ryan. Prosecutors allege Banfield and the family's au pair, Juliana Peres Magalhães, lured Ryan to their Herndon home through a fetish website and staged the killings as a home invasion.
The defense argues digital forensics contradict the catfishing theory and that investigators who disagreed were reassigned. Banfield faces life without parole if convicted. The four-week trial continues in Fairfax County.

  • Idaho Murders Autopsy Bombshell: Xana Kernodle's 67 Wounds and the Evidence She Left Behind

Unsealed forensic filings from the Bryan Kohberger case reveal devastating new details about what happened inside the King Road house on November 13, 2022 — including evidence that one victim's fight for survival may have been what brought down her killer.

Xana Kernodle was stabbed 67 times. That number alone is staggering, but the context makes it more significant. Kaylee Goncalves sustained 38 wounds, Madison Mogen 28, and Ethan Chapin 17. Xana's wound count exceeds the other three combined. And unlike her roommates, Xana had blood on the bottoms of her bare feet — the only victim who moved after the attack began.

Blood pattern analysis found traces of Kaylee and Maddie's blood on the stairwell and bannister leading from the third floor to the second. Since both women never stood up, investigators believe Xana went upstairs, encountered Kohberger mid-attack, and fled with him pursuing her. Police documented an intense struggle and defensive wounds between her fingers, with injuries extending into the bones of her hand. Kaylee's sister called Xana a hero — and the evidence supports that.

Prosecutors now believe her fight caused Kohberger to leave behind the DNA-laden knife sheath that cracked the case.

Also today: Idaho State Police released 2,800 crime scene photos last week, then removed them hours later after giving families less than 15 minutes' notice. A court order was supposed to prevent this. We break down what happened and why no one's been held accountable.

  • Monique Tepe's Ex Allegedly Threatened Her For Years — Why Didn't Anyone Stop Him?

Strangulation allegations. Death threats. Statements that she would "always be his wife." Surveillance footage allegedly showing him at her home three weeks before her murder. Michael McKee is a board-certified surgeon who maintained medical licenses across multiple states while allegedly fixating on his ex-wife for eight years after their divorce.

Former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer analyzes the behavioral profile — what possessive language reveals about ownership mentality, why strangulation is the number one predictor of future lethality, and how someone with McKee's professional success allegedly hid this level of obsession.

We examine why threats like this go unreported, what systemic gaps allow the pattern to continue, and what options actually exist for someone trying to escape an ex-partner they believe is capable of killing them.

  • Monique Tepe's Ex-Husband Allegedly Stalked Her for Years — Court Documents Reveal What She Knew

New court documents in the Spencer and Monique Tepe murder case reveal disturbing allegations about what Monique may have known before December 30th. According to the unsealed affidavit, witnesses told detectives that Michael McKee — Monique's ex-husband — allegedly threatened to kill her, told her she'd "always be his wife," and was captured on surveillance at her Columbus home while she was out of town. Friends say she left the Big Ten Championship game at halftime, upset about something involving McKee. Three weeks later, both she and Spencer were dead. Today we're asking the hard question: If she knew — why didn't she report it? And would it have mattered? We break down Ohio stalking laws, the psychology of why victims don't report, and what the system would have actually done if she had called. Plus — resources for anyone listening who may be in a similar situation right now.

  • McKee Investigation Breakdown: Cell Phone Gaps, Stolen Plates, and a Ballistics Match

The Michael McKee case presents a masterclass in forensic investigation. A suspect who allegedly created an 18-hour digital blackout. Stolen license plates from two states. A vehicle tracked through neighborhood surveillance footage. A firearm allegedly matched through a national database. And an arrest across state lines in just eleven days.

Former FBI Special Agent Jennifer Coffindaffer walks us through how investigators pieced together a case spanning Columbus, Chicago, and Rockford without a single eyewitness. She explains NIBIN ballistics methodology, how multi-jurisdictional investigations function in practice, and why the indictment's firearm suppressor allegation may be the most damning evidence of premeditation prosecutors have.

This is how law enforcement builds a double murder case from digital breadcrumbs and forensic science.

  • Paul Caneiro Trial: Insurance Policy Required All Four Deaths — Why the Children Allegedly Had to Die

Trust account expert Lazaro Cardenas explained something to jurors this week that changes everything about the Colts Neck murders: Keith Caneiro's $3 million life insurance policy was structured so that Paul would only benefit if Keith, Jennifer, AND both children were all dead. Not just Keith. All four of them. According to prosecutors, this is why 11-year-old Jesse and 8-year-old Sophia weren't spared. They weren't collateral damage. They were allegedly necessary casualties. A detective testified that Sophia had a stab wound to her left eye. The final recorded phone call between Keith and his brother Paul captures a man demanding answers hours before his murder.

"Give me the f***ing login, Paul!" Keith is heard saying, giving his brother a deadline to provide access to a trust account. Prosecutors say Keith had discovered Paul was stealing from their shared businesses and was cutting him off from a $225,000 salary. A neighbor put a timestamp on the killing. Dennis Corpora testified he woke up around 3:20 AM on November 20th, 2018. "I heard the shots, and I said, 'Someone just got whacked.'" Hours later, four people were dead and the mansion was burning. Prosecutors say Paul shot Keith outside the home, then went inside and stabbed Jennifer and the children before setting the house on fire. Hours earlier, he allegedly set fire to his own Ocean Township home while his wife and daughters slept inside. The defense wants jurors to look at a third brother, Corey, claiming police never investigated him. But the murder weapon, silencer, night-vision scope, bloody jeans with the children's DNA, and a go-bag with a passport were all found at Paul's house. For the defense theory to work, Corey would have had to commit quadruple murder and plant all the evidence. That's not reasonable doubt. That's fiction.

  • Monique Tepe Left the Big Ten Championship Early — Three Weeks Later She Was Dead

Monique Tepe left the Big Ten Championship game at halftime, upset about "something involving her ex-husband." She was 200 miles away in Indianapolis when surveillance allegedly captured Michael McKee at her Columbus home on December 6th, 2025. According to the Columbus Dispatch, video showed him going into the home and leaving "a few hours later." Twenty-four days later, Monique and her husband Dr. Spencer Tepe were found shot to death in their second-floor bedroom. Their two young children—ages 1 and 4—were asleep in the house, unharmed. A newly unsealed affidavit details eight years of alleged threats. Witnesses told investigators McKee said he could "kill her at any time," that he would "find her and buy the house right next to her," that "she will always be his wife." These aren't the words of heartbreak. They're the words of ownership. Witnesses also told investigators that during the marriage, McKee allegedly strangled Monique and forced unwanted sex on her. Strangulation is the single greatest predictor of future lethality in domestic violence cases. Yet Columbus police confirmed there were no prior reports filed. No restraining orders. Nothing on paper.

McKee, a vascular surgeon, was arrested at a Rockford Chick-fil-A eleven days after the murders. He's pleaded not guilty to four counts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary. If convicted, he faces life in prison. This episode examines the psychology of someone who refuses to accept that a relationship has ended, and the brutal reality that doing everything right—leaving, divorcing, rebuilding—doesn't always protect you from someone who never recognized your right to leave. December 6th wasn't the start. It was the final confirmation that he could reach her whenever he wanted.

  • 14 Legislators File Complaint Against Judge Elmore — Aaron Spencer Gets New Judge 48 Hours Before Trial

The Arkansas Supreme Court removed Judge Barbara Elmore from Aaron Spencer's murder case 48 hours before trial was set to begin. This is the same judge who released Michael Fosler on bond after he was charged with 43 felonies including alleged rape of a minor. The same judge whose gag order the Supreme Court already struck down as a "plain, manifest, clear, and gross abuse of discretion." The same judge who ignored their warning and restricted public access again. Now 14 state legislators have filed a formal complaint with the Judicial Discipline Commission. The Supreme Court granted a Writ of Certiorari to review every ruling Elmore made. And retired Judge Ralph Wilson—31 years on the bench, known as an advocate for children—is taking over one of the most watched trials in Arkansas.

Aaron Spencer is the Lonoke County father charged with second-degree murder after killing Fosler. According to the defense, Fosler showed up with Spencer's 14-year-old daughter in his vehicle at 1 a.m. after she went missing from her bedroom—despite being charged with sexually assaulting her and ordered to stay away from minors. Spencer told authorities he rammed Fosler's truck off the road and shot him after Fosler allegedly lunged at him. The dashcam footage that could have supported the defense's version of events reportedly vanished—the SD card gone weeks before trial. But the bodycam from three months before the shooting, showing Spencer's grief when he learned about his daughter? Prosecutors kept that. They want it in front of the jury. Defense attorney Bob Motta breaks down what the judicial removal means, what prior rulings could be reconsidered, and whether this case should have ever been charged. Spencer is still running for Lonoke County Sheriff while awaiting trial.

  • McKee's Defense Strategy Revealed — How Diane Menashe Could Attack the Tepe Murder Evidence

The choice of attorney tells you everything about how a case is going to be fought. Michael McKee just hired Diane Menashe—the defense attorney who walked Dr. William Husel out of a Columbus courtroom after fourteen murder charges. Every single count. Not guilty. She called one witness. She also kept cop-killer Quentin Smith off death row. Now she's defending the vascular surgeon accused of murdering Monique Tepe and Dr. Spencer Tepe in their Columbus home on December 30th. McKee pleaded not guilty Friday to four counts of aggravated murder. The evidence police have described is substantial: ballistics allegedly linking a weapon from McKee's property to shell casings at the scene, vehicle tracking showing the 325-mile drive from Columbus to Illinois and back, surveillance footage allegedly showing McKee in the alley behind the Tepe home, a firearm suppressor, and no forced entry. So how does Menashe attack a case that looks this overwhelming? Defense attorney Bob Motta breaks down her likely strategy.

The ballistics science that isn't as solid as prosecutors want juries to believe. The murky video identification. The eight-year gap between McKee's divorce and the alleged murders that complicates the premeditation narrative. And the mental health angle that could change everything. Menashe's philosophy is simple: she doesn't put on a defense case. She picks apart the prosecution's evidence piece by piece and lets it collapse under its own weight. That's how she got Husel acquitted on fourteen counts when the evidence seemed insurmountable. McKee isn't fighting for freedom. He's fighting for degrees of punishment. Two children lost their parents that night. The man accused of making them orphans just hired the best defense attorney in Columbus.
