"My story is forever divided into two parts: before the fire, and after the fire. In 2011, at the age of 24, my life was turned upside down. While competing in a 100km ultra-marathon in the Australian outback, I encountered an out of control grass fire. Trapped by the blaze, I suffered full-thickness burns to 65% of my body. I was choppered out of the remote desert barely alive and wasn’t expected to survive. I lost seven of my fingers, spent over six months in hospital, underwent over 200 operations and spent two years in recovery.  Against overwhelming odds, I defied every expectation placed on me and rebuilt my life. In 2016, I achieved a goal I’d been working towards since the early days of my recovering; competing in my first Ironman competition in May, followed by the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Kona was a gruelling experience that taught me over and over again that when we get our mindset right, we truly can achieve anything. Over the years, I’ve written multiple books, been honoured with multiple awards, mentored thousands of people to achieve their greatest goals through my online programs and joined one of my personal heroes, Tony Robbins, as a headline speaker at the 2018 National Achievers Congress.
