The Enneagram is complicated and nuanced, but human beings are infinitely more complex than the Enneagram. And today’s episode proves just that. We all walk around thinking toxic thoughts but just because we think something doesn’t make it true.  Our thoughts are charged with emotions and energy, but they are not our enemies. If you treat them as though there is some kind of demonic force inside your head, you’re actually investing them with power they do not have.  They are not in charge of us. We are in charge of our thoughts and we have the ability to change our own narrative.

In Part Two of my interview with Jennie Allen, we examine the toxic thoughts of an Enneagram Seven and how important it is for all of us to not give our thoughts too much power.

Each Enneagram Type is beautiful and in its healthy expression is truly fantastic.  When Threes are healthy, they no longer find it important to credentialize their achievements, they become more community-minded and interested in helping others succeed.
