I long to speak the deepest words I have to say to you;
but I dare not, for fear you should laugh.
That is why I laugh at myself and shatter my secret in jest.

I long to tell you the truest words I have to say to you,
but I dare not, being afraid that you would not believe them.
That is why I disguise them in untruth,
saying the contrary of what I mean.
I make my pain appear absurd, afraid that you should do so.

I long to use the most precious words I have for you;
but I dare not, fearing I should not be paid with like value.
That is why I gave you hard names and boast of my callous strength.
I hurt you, for fear you should never know any pain.

I long to sit silent by you;
but I dare not lest my heart come out at my lips.
That is why I prattle and chatter lightly and hide my heart behind words.
I rudely handle my pain, for fear you should do so.

Time Flies by So Quickly时光飞逝
Time is a precious commodity that we can never get back once it has passed. Every second, every minute, and every hour is an opportunity to do something meaningful, to create memories, and to achieve our goals. Unfortunately, time flies by so quickly that we often find ourselves wondering where it all went.
时间匆匆而过，宝贵难得。一旦逝去，就再也无法回头。每一秒、每一分、每一时都是施展才华、创造回忆、实现目标的良机。可惜，时间流逝得太快，我们常常惊觉时光荏苒，恍如隔世。
When we were children, time seemed to move at a snail's pace. Each day felt like an eternity, and we couldn't wait to grow up and experience all that life had to offer. But as we get older, time seems to speed up. Weeks turn into months, months turn into years, and before we know it, we're celebrating another birthday.
小时候，我们总感觉时间缓慢无比，一天过得永久漫长，渴望快点长大，尽享人生奇妙。可年岁一长，时间似乎加速了。几周过去，几个月过去，几年过去，转眼生日又到。
It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and lose sight of the bigger picture. We focus on work, chores, and obligations, and before we know it, another day has gone by without us really living it. It's important to take a step back and appreciate the time we have, to make the most of every moment, and to live our lives to the fullest.
常常被琐事和繁忙压得喘不过气，我们忘了远大目标。天天工作、家务、义务，不知不觉，又度过了一天“没活出真正的自己”。退后一步，珍惜时间，发掘每个瞬间的价值，畅享生命。
We should cherish the time we have with our loved ones because we never know when it might be our last. We should pursue our passions and dreams because life is too short to let fear hold us back. We should be grateful for every opportunity that comes our way because each one is a chance to learn and grow.
与爱的人相伴的时光珍贵无比，也许那是最后的相聚。追求梦想和热情，生命短促，莫让恐惧扼杀前进的脚步。感恩每个机会，因为每个机会都是成长的契机。
Time is the most precious gift we have. We can't control how much of it we have, but we can control how we use it. Let's make the most of every moment, and live our lives with purpose and passion. After all, time flies by so quickly, and we don't want to look back and regret the moments we let slip away.

New York is 3 hours ahead of California,

but it does not make California slow.

Someone graduated at the age of 22,

Absolutely everyone in this world works based on their time zone.

世上每个人本来就有自己的发展时区。

People around you might seem to go ahead of you,

身边有些人看似走在你前面，

some might seem to be behind you.

也有人看似走在你后面。

But everyone is running their own race, in their own time.

但其实每个人在自己的时区有自己的步程。

Don’t envy them or mock them.

不用嫉妒或嘲笑他们。

They are in their time zone, and you are in yours!

他们都在自己的时区里，你也是！

Life is about waiting for the right moment to act.

生命就是等待正确的行动时机。

So, relax.

所以，放轻松。

You’re not late.

你没有落后。

You’re not early.

你没有领先。

You are very much on time, and in your time zone Destiny set up for you.

Warnings
警告

When I am an old woman I shall wear purple,

With a red hat which doesn't go, and doesn't suit me.

And I shall spend my pension on brandy

and summer gloves,

You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat,

And hoard pens and pencils and beermats

and things in boxes.

But now we must have clothes that keep us dry,

And pay our rent and not swear in the street,

And set a good example for the children.

We must have friends to dinner and read the papers.

But maybe I ought to practice a little now?

So people who know me

are not too shocked and surprised,

免得我一下子老了，突然摇身一变，从此紫衣紫裤，

When suddenly I am old, and start to wear purple.

会不会吓得他们浑身冒冷汗。

这首诗是维多利亚时期（19世纪）英国诗人威廉（WillaimErnestHenley,1849-1903）的名篇。这首诗也是从阶下囚到南非第一任黑人总统曼德拉经常背诵的一首诗（也许是都有过刻骨铭心的磨难经历吧）。华纳兄弟影片公司于2009年出品的一部传记式影片《成事在人》中引用，因此而广为人知。诗人从小体弱多病，患有肺结核症，一只脚被截掉；为了保住另一只脚，他一生都奋力和病魔抗争，不向命运屈服。"Invictus，拉丁语（=unconquerable），“不可征服”之意。此诗是诗人在病榻上所作。

Out of the night that covers me,
