This week we’re diving into self-compassion - what it really means to treat yourself with kindness when life gets messy. I share a personal story of persistent pain, how it challenged my usual discipline, and what I learned about giving myself grace. We’ll explore practical tools from psychology alongside the powerful example of God’s compassion in Scripture, showing us how to mirror His kindness toward ourselves. By the end, you’ll have encouragement and simple steps to bring more peace, rest, and mercy into your everyday life.

Are you stuck in the exhausting cycle of starting a diet, losing some weight, slipping back into old habits, regaining the weight - and then starting all over again? This episode dives deep into the diet cycle - what it is, why it happens, and how it keeps so many women trapped in frustration and self-blame.
I’ll walk you through each stage of the cycle so you can picture it clearly, recognise where you might be in it right now, and understand why breaking free isn’t just about “more willpower.” You’ll discover the hidden emotional and spiritual toll dieting takes, and why this is a problem we can’t afford to overlook.
If you’ve ever wondered why you keep ending up back where you started, and how to finally step off the merry-go-round, this conversation will be a game-changer.

This week, I’m diving into one of the most mysterious and powerful stories in the Old Testament - the night Jacob wrestled with God in Genesis 32. It’s raw, intense, and deeply symbolic, and I believe it speaks to something many of us feel but don’t often talk about: what does it really mean to wrestle with God?
In this episode, I unpack the story, share what it reveals about identity, surrender, and blessing, and explore five different ways we can wrestle with God in our own lives - not in rebellion, but in honest, persistent faith. Whether you're in a season of struggle or simply feeling spiritually stuck, I pray this episode encourages you to hold on a little longer… because the blessing might be in the wrestle.

In this episode, I’m sharing a short communion message that reminds us of the richness and meaning behind the Lord’s table. Communion isn’t just a symbolic act or a mouthful of bread and juice - it’s a sacred meal that points us to the fullness we have in Christ. From the wedding at Cana and the feeding of the five thousand, to the early church’s Love Feasts, we see a God who fills, satisfies, and invites us to receive abundantly. Whether you’re in a dry season or just need a quiet moment to refocus, may this reflection draw your heart back to Jesus and the grace He freely gives.

Striving often gets a bad rap – and for good reason. Many of us associate it with burnout, pressure, and performance. But what if not all striving is bad? In this episode, I explore the difference between striving in our own strength and striving with God. We look at Proverbs 14:4 – “Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean…” and how this earthy image invites us to embrace the mess that often comes with real fruitfulness. We also reflect on Elisha’s call in 1 Kings 19, where he leaves behind the oxen and the plough to follow a new path – one marked not by striving in his own strength, but by surrender and divine partnership with God.
If you’re feeling weary or exhausted, driven, or unsure whether your work is bearing fruit or your effort is leading anywhere, this conversation will help you pause, reflect, and realign your striving with grace.

If you’ve ever set out to read your Bible each day but ended up procrastinating, resisting it, then feeling guilty about it, you’re definitely not alone! In this episode, I’m opening up about the real struggles I faced with Bible reading – things like perfectionism, obligation, and not having a plan were some of the main culprits. I share practical strategies that helped me build a joyful, sustainable rhythm in God’s Word and actually get through the Bible in a year instead of starting and stopping all the time. Ready to move from striving to abiding? If so, this one’s not to be missed! In this episode, we’re diving deep into the topic of dreams – not the ones you have while sleeping, but the God-given dreams planted deep within your heart. Have you been dreaming with God lately? Or has life left you feeling stuck, dry, or disconnected from the desires He’s placed inside you? I’ll share some personal stories about the fresh dreams God’s been stirring in me (including one about starting a coaching business for Christian women – something I never expected!).
We’ll also unpack the difference between wellbeing and wellness, and why that matters for this podcast moving forward. I’ll explain what wellness culture is – its focus on self-optimisation, hustle, and perfection – and why a biblical view of wellbeing offers something far more holistic, healing, and life-giving.
You’ll hear about the new direction God’s leading me in and how it will shape the kind of faith-based, Scripture-rooted encouragement you’ll continue to hear on the show.
So if you’re ready to reconnect with your God-given dreams, reflect on your own journey of spiritual, emotional, and physical wellbeing, and explore how to live with purpose in Christ – not just follow the next wellness trend – this episode is for you.

Vulnerability. It’s not something most of us find easy – but it’s essential to intimacy with God. In this episode, I share a personal story about a word I sensed from the Holy Spirit, reflect on the stories of Vashti and Esther, and explore the kind of strength that comes from choosing vulnerability – not just with people, but with God. I’ll talk about why being open with Him is not only safe but powerful, and how it can lead to deeper connection, healing, and transformation in your life. Whether you’re feeling guarded or sensing a nudge to step out in faith, my prayer is that this episode reminds you that God is not like the kings of this world – He is kind, trustworthy, and always inviting us closer.

In this final episode of our series on rest, we’re diving into God’s original rhythm of Sabbath and asking a big question: Is it a sin not to Sabbath? We’ll trace Sabbath rest from Genesis to Hebrews and explore how it’s not just a day off, but a sacred invitation to trust God, reorder our hearts, and walk in step with Him. We’ll talk about why we resist rest, what faith has to do with Sabbath, and how we can practically embrace this rhythm even in busy seasons. I’ll also share some honest reflections from my own journey - because I definitely don’t have this all figured out yet! Whether you’re deep into this practice or just starting out, this episode will encourage you to see Sabbath not as a burden, but as a beautiful gift of grace. Let’s press pause together and rediscover rest, not just for our schedules - but for our souls.
