When a narcissist withholds intimacy, it’s part of a much bigger control tactic. Narcissistic partners are experts at withholding intimacy - physical or emotional intimacy. They also engage in a number of other behaviors and actions, but the withholding of intimacy is at the core of all these behaviors. Narcissists do not have an emotionally intimate connection with anyone, including their partners and children.
