When Anger is Healing: The Power of Being Angry at the Narcissist - Getting angry at a narcissist? Sometimes it can be very empowering. You might feel sad, powerless, or frustrated that this person got away with hurting you and is still hurting others. But you might also feel angry. And it can be tempting to repress that anger because there's only one "right" emotion to feel about someone who's mistreated you so terribly... sadness. And if you've been mistreated by a narcissist (or psychopath), then it's important that you don't allow yourself to forget how much emotional damage was done, or lose touch with the anger about what happened. That anger is fuel for change. In this video, I explain why it's important not to repress your anger, and why getting angry at a narcissist is good for your mental health AND is an act of self-care.
