This week I'm sitting down with the lovely Elise McCann, Australian actress, star of Beetlejuice the Musical and co-founder of the motivation app Hey Lemonade.

Elise very generously shares her personal experiences around dealing with imposter syndrome and feeling the pressure of not being enough - even though she went on to finish law school, got into NIDA (really known as Australia's best drama school), went on book starring roles across theatre and television.

We peel back the layers of why imposter syndrome affects so many of us, along with perfectionism and the useless pursuit to end up at place called 'perfect' that doesn't exist.

We also tuck into her motivation app Hey Lemonade, which she co-founded with her friend and fellow actress Lucy Durack.

It's an app that's like your best friend with a psychology degree. It offers bite size pep talks for those of us who are time poor and need a little reframe and lift to shift our mood and perspective, spoken by the voices of some of the biggest names in entertainment and lifestyle like Janine Allis, Maggie Beer, Virginia Gay, Benjamin Law and so many more.

Hey Lemonade was also the winner of the 2024 Telstra Business Awards for NSW and is also widely used across the corporate and school sectors to provide solutions for stress and motivation challenges in education and workplace settings.
