It is estimated that 90% of the material cultural legacy of sub-Saharan Africa remains preserved outside of the African continent, in public and private collections. European and American museums also hold African human remains and archives. Who owns this heritage and these human remains? Should they all be returned to their countries of origin? Come and listen to anthropologist and curator Bambi Ceuppens of the Royal Museum for Central Africa in Tervuren and philosopher Bado Ndoye from University Cheikh Ante Diop in Dakar to find out their views on the restitution of displaced cultural heritage and human remains.
