Lifelong women’s activist, mother, midwife, and family nurse practitioner Mary Lou Singleton joins me for the second time on the podcast, for a nuanced discussion on what women can expect in the face of abortion being criminalized and offers clarity on this highly politicized topic. We get into specific cases of women who faced life-threatening consequences and in some cases death, due to the State criminalizing abortion, including crimes committed against women who endured miscarriages of wanted pregnancies, the paradox of how many life forms thin themselves out, and the inhumane treatment of women by society, who place their babies up for adoption.

We discuss medical totalitarianism, what we've learned about snitch culture over that past two years, period tracking apps, State surveillance of women’s menstrual cycles throughout history, forced abortions, the harms of pharmaceutical contraception and the difficulty of trying to legislate morality. Mary Lou highlights what women currently have access to, how to start taking responsibility over our sexualities and bodies with fertility awareness methods, knowing the immediate signs of pregnancy, and sourcing necessary materials and herbs so that we and our sisters can maintain bodily sovereignty in the face of criminalization and surveillance culture.

In this episode I speak with mother, educator and co-founder of Partners for Ethical Care, Jeannette Cooper. Jeannette details the story of her trans-identified daughter and only child, being removed from her custody at age 12 due to Jeannette allegedly being "psychologically and physically unsafe." Jeannette describes the lessons her daughter learned by attending the Michigan Women's Festival, how the philosophies of un-schooling fostered a high emotional and academic intelligence, and how conventional schooling starting in 6th grade broke her, as she was relentlessly bullied into conformity and later indoctrinated into trans ideology.

Jeannette discusses the goals that were met by her daughter identifying as trans- coolness, acceptance, the layer of protection it offered her from bullying and social ostracism, and even an award for bravery. This is a frontline story- one of a mother who has lost total custody of her daughter, left with nothing but pen mail. In the aftermath, Jeannette discusses her healing and has a strong message for parents who are going through similar circumstances.

In this episode I’m joined by Jennifer, a mother who shares her discovery of the trans agenda as she fought to loosen its grasp on her 11 year old daughter. We discuss her daughter's introduction to gender ideology at a camp and online drawing program, the alarming legislation preventing parents from protecting their children and the professional systems in place designed to divide families. We get into the importance of language and biological reality when teaching children discernment, the ease with which children can obtain wrong sex hormones without their parents’ knowledge or consent, and how the societal structures of gender ideology default in outsourcing parental instinct to an authoritative entity.

Jennifer shares her experience being a vulnerable yet empowered mother by facing these obstacles head-on. Her story is a success story. In this episode I’m joined by Michelle Evans to discuss the landscape girls face in light of increasing forms of sex-based oppression and the role parents are playing in protecting children in and out of schools. Michelle shares how she became active in combating gender ideology, the damaging messages sent when children are ‘socially transitioned,’ and the sacrifices girls are forced to make as female-only spaces diminish in schools. 

We discuss the insidious games being played behind the scenes of school board meetings, the attack on parental rights - including the overreach of schools identifying kids as "trans" - and some of the current weaknesses that we must overcome to take effective action against trans ideology. Michelle shares her successes organizing both single issue groups and larger groups with other concerned parents and community members, and offers invaluable insight for those wanting to take action.  

Michelle is a married mother of three, fitness coach, small business owner, and fierce advocate for families. Her career was in social services before she focused more on political advocacy. She is adamant that women and girls have value and a unique contribution to the world, and is running as a State Representative in Texas to preserve women-only spaces.

Mother, doula, musician and hair and makeup artist, Belle lets us in on the path that led her both toward and away from gender-neutral parenting. We explore the strict sexual code of conduct within her Mormon upbringing and talk through her intimate introduction to the trans community. Belle shares how her own family’s history of cosmetic surgeries played into her acceptance of and compassion for trans-identified clients who had medicalized - alongside her honest conversations with a trans-identified male friend whose quest for womanhood jeopardized his organ functions.  

We cover her well-meaning intentions as a mother who they/themed her baby for 20 months, the reception of other adults to her parenting approach, the confusion she herself experienced while teaching her daughter about her body, and how something as overlooked as diet influenced her perspectives and ability to think critically about gender ideology. Belle also names the potential dangers children face if they are not taught that men and women are different, and emphasizes the role sex plays in how we determine our reality.

In this episode I’m joined by Annika, a woman who formerly identified as trans who also married a trans-identified man. We walk through her initial discovery of the trans experience and how her support of a trans identified friend left her asking new questions about her gender and sexuality. She discusses her confusing introduction to goddess culture, in which women-only language and spaces were challenged by trans-identified men in the group, and about the influence her trans identified housemates had on her self-perception. Annika details her marriage to a trans-identified man who exhibited Dissociative Identity Disorder (formerly Multiple Personality Disorder), the monumental abuse she endured while isolated with him, and the extreme internal resources she developed to survive even as one of her husband’s alters set plans in motion to have her killed. We cover her harrowing journey to piece herself back together after being gaslit by both mental health professionals and her husband, and her intuitive work in illuminating the trans experience as a maladaptive mechanism of internal parts work.
