Man Loses Finger in Fight with Wild Boar

There are some animals you have to be careful of in the wild in Taiwan.

Bears, for example, can be very dangerous.

So can monkeys.

But pigs? Yes, pigs can be dangerous, too.

We're talking about a specific kind of pig called the wild boar (山豬).

You probably know about this animal because it's widely eaten in Taiwan, especially among Indigenous cultures.

You can buy wild boar sausages all over the country.

我們所講到的豬就是山豬，山豬在台灣料理中十分普遍，尤其是原住民的料理。而且台灣到處都吃得到山豬香腸。

A man from Pingtung County recently found out how dangerous wild boars can be.

The 72-year-old went to Huayu Mountain to check and put down animal traps (陷阱).

Suddenly, a wild boar charged towards him and began to attack.

山豬突然衝過去攻擊他。

During the attack, the boar bit and scratched the man, causing injuries to his arms, legs, head and body.

He even bit off the man's pinky finger on his left hand! 甚至咬掉了他左手的小指。

Luckily, the man was able to fight back at the boar, and eventually it ran away.

But the man was deep in the mountains, and he couldn't call anyone for help, because his phone had no signal (收不到訊號).

He had to walk around for a while to find a place he could use his phone.

After several hours, the man got in touch with his friend, who called emergency services (緊急救難服務).

The man was eventually saved and taken to hospital.

But they never found his finger.

山豬的攻擊讓老先生全身都受傷，幸好後來豬跑掉，但是因為手機收不到訊號，他沒辦法求救。過了好幾個鐘頭才終於聯絡上朋友，把他送到醫院。但是他們終究沒有找到他的小指頭。

The 20 Thousand Dollar Dorito

How much do you pay for a packet of Doritos corn chips?

It's not much, and it's certainly not 20 thousand dollars.

But a customer recently discovered that's how much her bag of chips was worth.

In fact, it wasn't the whole bag of chips, but just one chip inside!

13-year-old Rylee Stuart from Australia posted a video to TikTok of a chip she found in a bag of Doritos.

This chip was unusual, because it wasn't flat, it was puffy, and filled with air.

這片玉米片很特別，不是扁的，而是蓬起來，裡面都是空氣．

Rylee asked if she should keep it or eat it.

Lots of her followers said she should try to sell it.

So Riley listed it on eBay, an online auction website (拍賣網站)..

She only asked for 99 Australian dollars for the chip, plus 6 dollars 20 for the postage.

But to her surprise, the auction went viral.

That means it was passed around the internet so that lots of people saw it.

她的玉米片拍賣影片在網路爆紅，很多人看到。

Eventually, the winner of the auction paid her 20 thousand Australian dollars.

And the winner wasn't just anyone.

It was Doritos Australia.

They said they wanted to reward Rylee for her "ingenuity" and "entrepreneurship."

Rylee said her dad bought the bag of chips, so he told her the money was his, but she said she was the one who found the chip and ate the bag, so the money should definitely be hers!

Anthony Mackie to Star in Next Captain America Movie

A different actor will headline one of Marvel's core movie franchises.

Anthony Mackie has officially signed on to be the star of the 4th Captain America film.

He takes on the mantle (繼承衣缽) from Chris Evans, who played Cap until the events of Endgame.

Chris' character gave his iconic shield to Anthony's character at the end of that film.

獵鷹演員安東尼·麥基會當第四部美國隊長電影的主演。

Anthony's character, the Falcon, did not fully accept the role at first.

He decided to officially become (成為) Captain America in this past summer's TV series.

In that show, he co-starred with Sebastian Stan, who played the Winter Soldier.

We don't know yet if the Winter Soldier will appear in the next movie too.

目前不知道酷寒戰士會不會在第四部電影出現。
