Ten years after launching its first Prime Day sale, the online retailer anticipates raking in $9 billion dollars from the October version of Prime Big Deal Days 2025. While shoppers may set some records this week, it’s the way in which consumers are spending that’s raising eyebrows among economists.

1. A public hearing is underway in Milwaukee on authorizing the use of cameras to enforce traffic violations. They're currently prohibited under state law. The hearing is going on at the Summerfest building. Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson is in favor of adding red light cameras to the city. He hopes it will cut down on reckless driving. Senator Dora Drakes explains next steps if the cameras are approved. Today's public hearing is unique in that it's not happening at the State Capital. It's here in Milwaukee. This is the first time community members are getting a chance to speak up on the issue.

2. President Trump is facing legal challenges as he plans to deploy troops to cities across the country. The governor of Illinois is suing to block the White House plan to send Texas National Guards to Chicago, this, as the President says he's now considering invoking the Insurrection Act. A federal judge has blocked the Trump administration's efforts to send National Guard troops to Portland, Oregon.

3. Never doubt the power of Brewers Magic! That's the message from the team today, after last night's incredible win. The Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs in Game 2 of the NLDS 7-3. Up next for the Brew Crew: Game 3 down in Chicago. First pitch is tomorrow at 4:08pm. The Brewers are teaming up with AMTRAK to take fans down to Wrigley on the Brewers Express, or the Hiawatha train. There’s going to be a DJ at the Milwaukee Intermodal Station along with the Famous Racing Sausages and the Brewers 4-1-FORCE. The first 300 riding fans get free brats! The second stop on the Brewers Express is the Milwaukee Airport. Bernie Brewer and Barrelman will jump on the train there.

2. The Senate is back in session, but the government shutdown that began on October 1 continues, with no resolution in sight. Lawmakers are at an impasse over funding bills, leaving hundreds of thousands of federal employees furloughed or working without pay. In Wisconsin, there are roughly 18,000 federal workers. For those deeply affected by the flooding in August, FEMA continues to work with those individuals, but their funding could be exhausted in a prolonged shutdown. The House will not return to session until October 13, having been adjourned by Speaker Mike Johnson on October 3 and putting the pressure to end the shutdown squarely on the Senate for now. Another vote is expected to take place at 4:30.

Pat Murphy selects lefty reliever Aaron Ashby to start the game...how long Ashby goes and who pitches second are the BIG questions. The status of outfielder Jackson Chourio for tonight's game is unclear. Chourio suffered a hamstring strain during the second inning of Saturday's game after legging out an infield single. Chourio did some light running during Sunday's team workout. First pitch for tonight's game is scheduled for 8:08.

3. Beef, it’s not for dinner! At least that's what more people are saying these days. The traditional staple of the American dinner table has never been more expensive. In fact, beef prices have shot up more than 14 percent in the past year. Shoppers have now started looking for alternatives, like chicken.
