Be prepared to stay inside for up to three months! But remember to stand up every hour!
The day before yesterday CP24.com says Toronto’s top doctor warns that all Torontonians will likely have to remain at home for up to three months except going out for essentials, and people with COVID-19 are ordered to self quarantine for 14 days.
Staying at home for prolonged periods of time can pose a significant challenge for remaining physically active. A research doctor at Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada said, “Sedentary time is not opposite of exercise; it’s actually its own risk factor”. So be aware that sedentary behaviour and low levels of physical activity can have negative effects on your health. He then said, “Standing up every hour will make you healthier.”
Since you are a listener of my podcast, I believe you do exercise regularly. Just know that there are exercises that you can do at home as well, without going to gym, and you don’t need a treadmill, either.
