For so many parents, one of the most difficult parts of life has been finding a balance between work and home life. (possibly share a related anecdote?) But for the moms out there, this problem can be even more difficult because of the bias against working mothers in many organizations. So, in honor of Mother’s Day this Sunday, we’re joined by Mary Beth Ferrante, who is the CEO of WRK/360, an advocate for inclusive workplaces for parents, and a mother of 2 herself. She’s here to help us manage being a working mother.

Women have been involved in our nation’s legal system since its earliest days. For a long time, women couldn’t be admitted to law schools or state bar associations. Today, they’re filling seats on some of the highest courts in the land. Recently, Brigham Young University’s law school admitted its first class with more women than men. I can hear our ancestor’s jaws hitting the floor as we speak. Law student and future mother, Kristin Wilde is currently in her first year at BYU’s J. Reuben Clark Law School. Her husband Baxter Wilde will attend law school next year. Mr. and Mrs. Wilde are with us today to talk about their experience and how they balance school with children on the way.
