聯合國提醒，截至今年年底可能會有超過五十萬名阿富汗人逃離阿富汗。

More than 2.2 million Afghan refugees presently live in neighboring countries, and 3.5 million Afghans are internally displaced. Fear of living under the Taliban and severe drought may cause the number of displaced people to rise drastically.

目前已有二百二十餘萬阿富汗難民居住在鄰國，另外國內還有三百五十萬人流離失所。對於生活在塔利班政權下以及嚴重乾旱的恐懼都可能導致流離失所者的人數急劇上升。
