I've been getting some great questions about the new QYTT so I made this episode to answer them here.
Enrollment is open for just 2 more days!
Click here to learn more and enroll in the QYTT
1. What is the structure and duration of the program?
The program is 12 weeks long, with weekly live Mentoring Calls, self-paced study, and interactive assignments.
2. Who is this training designed for?
This program is ideal for all levels of yoga practitioners who want to deepen their practice and be able to teach yoga for themselves and for anyone from any background - with no preparation needed.
3. What will I learn in this training?
You’ll learn 10 Core Competencies: Asana, Anatomy, Meditation, History, Philosophy, Vedic Sciences, Energetic Anatomy, Teaching, Mentorship and Business. You'll learn in 3 phases that make it easy and digestable. By the end you'll be able to confidently teach the 6 most popular styles of yoga: Nidra, Restorative, Yin, Gentle, Hatha and Vinyasa.
4. Is there a certification upon completion?
Yes, you’ll receive a certification recognized by Yoga Alliance after successfully completing the program.
5. What is the cost, and are payment plans available?
The average YTTs is $3200. My goal is to make the highest quality and most affordable YTT so the QYTT is $1997, with flexible payment plans available through Klarna and Afterpay
6. What materials or equipment will I need?
You only need a yoga mat and a reliable internet connection. Optionally: 2 blocks, bolster and a belt. There is a manual that i recommend you print out, but you can also use it digitally as a PDF.
7. What makes this training unique from other programs?
- The QYTT makes yoga super organized and easy to learn for life with 10 Core Competencies and 3 Phases of Learning, unlike many disorganized YTTs
- Holistic and integrates all elements of yoga, not just Asana but also the history, philosophy, modern exercise science, ayurveda, jyotish and energetic anatomy
- Lots of 1-1 support from the lead teacher.
- Based on 7000+ hours of real world teaching experience, not theory.
- Lifetime access to all future trainings at no additional cost.
- Lots of practice teaching and applying what you learn - not just sitting and listening and memorizing things like in many YTTs
8. How will I receive support during the training?
Lots of 1-1 support from me, an accountability partner and a private Whatsapp group available 24/7
9. Can I join if I don’t plan to teach yoga?
Absolutely. This program is also suited for personal growth and deepening your practice. About half of all YTT students take it just for their own practice.
10. Is the training accessible for people with injuries or physical limitations?
Yes, I provide modifications and inclusive, trauma informed teaching methods to support all levels and abilities.
11. How will I be evaluated throughout the course?
Evaluation includes practice teaching, written assessments, quizzes, learning games, and teaching practice with feedback from instructors.
12. What happens if I miss a class?
All sessions are recorded, and you’ll have lifetime access to recordings from this class and all future classes.
13. What support will I have after the training?
Unlike other YTTs that lack guidance for what to do after training, I help you find a path to offer yoga in a way that feels authentic to you which may include social media, in person classes, online classes, workshops, retreats or other offerings. I'll share the best lessons i've learned from 12+ years of experience offering yoga in all of these formats
14. Will I have access to the course material after completion?
Yes. Not just that, but unlike other YTTs you'll be able to retake future classes as many times as you want. You’ll have lifetime access to the private Whatsapp group, all course updates and all manual updates.
15. What are the career opportunities after completing this training?
Graduates often integrate what they learn into adjacent fields like counselingpursue roles as yoga teachers, wellness coaches, or continue their education with advanced certifications.

Whenever people ask me what studio to check out in Austin, Texas, I always recommend Practice Yoga on the East side.
Rey Cardenas is the co-founder of Practice which recently celebrated it's 10 year anniversary.
If you follow Rey or Practice on Instagram, you'll see he shares a lot about a unique take on philosophy from Rudolf Steiner, that I haven't seen from other yoga teachers.
We talk about:
- Rey's journey of co-founding a yoga studio in Austin, Texas, after facing challenges with his previous teaching position. Rey shared his experience of transitioning from being a professional poker player to becoming a yoga teacher and the process of finding a location for his studio.
- The process of opening a yoga studio, including finding a vacant building, partnering with someone who had complementary skills, utilizing social media marketing, creating memes(!) and choosing a donation-based model.
- Rey's process of finding a more balanced approach to yoga philosophy, moving away from an indulgent sort of philosophy towards a more grounded perspective that Rey found in Rudolf Steiner's work.
- How to integrate different perspectives and practices into yoga teachings. They also explored the connection between Western and Eastern spirituality and the importance of awakening the chakras.
- Rey gives a great introduction to the teachings of Rudolf Steiner, including his embodiment system, and the importance of the thought realm in human freedom. They also discussed how these concepts can be integrated into yoga and are integrated into the teacher trainings at Practice Yoga in Austin.
