Today we have the great pleasure of talking with Zakk Miller, a BJJ Black Belt, BJJ Globetrotter Instructor, Marine Corps Staff Sergeant, and We Defy Training Facility Coordinator living in Arizona. Zakk wears many essential hats and gives the feeling of successfully wearing each one. Zakk started BJJ when he was 19 years old and reflected on many lessons he wished he would have learned when he was a white and blue belt. During our conversation, Zakk brings up a great concept on how to ask people what you can do to improve. His answer is an eye-opener and can change the way you look at how you are asking for help for improvement. It is easy to see that Zakk wants to help as many people as possible in BJJ and the veteran community. This episode could have quickly gone on for hours if time was not a constraint.
