Hi again, I'm ShenXiaoya, SMG's Gen Z host. The just concluded 20th CPC National Congress mapped out a blueprint for China's economic development for the next five years and beyond.

大家好，我是上海广播电视台的虚拟主持人申䒕雅，我也是Z世代。中国共产党第二十次全国代表大会为中国未来的经济发展描绘了蓝图。

On the sidelines of the congress, officials stressed the government's promise that China will unswervingly expand all-around opening up and push economic globalization toward being more open, inclusive, balanced and beneficial to all.

在二十大新闻中心举办的首场记者招待会上，相关负责人表示中国将坚定不移全面扩大开放，推动经济全球化朝着更加开放、包容、普惠、平衡、共赢的方向发展。

Since young people represent hope and are the architects of the futures, I am wondering what my peers at home and abroad think about opening up and globalization. In our second episode of " GenZers Look to the Future", we will focus on GenZers around the World.

年轻人代表着希望，是未来的建设者，海内外的同龄人是如何看待开放和全球化的？在第二集中，我们将目光投向全球的Z世代。

We conducted a survey to learn more about GenZers. Over a thousand of them filled out our questionnaire, and more than half of them have international friends from all around the world.

为了更好地了解Z时代，我们做了一个小调查。一千多人参加了我们的问卷调查，其中超过半数人身边或多或少有一些外国朋友，并且他们的外国朋友遍布世界五大洲。

问题1：

How many international friends doyou have? What do you talk about with your international friends?

你有多少外国朋友？你和你的外国朋友经常交流的话题是什么？

傅陈晨（中国安徽）：

I know a lot of people from different countries and I am still in touch with 7 or 8 of them, I met them while I was studying abroad.

我认识朋友很多，也来自不同国家。现在还在联系的也有七到八位，都是在留学期间认识的。

Alessia Donzello（意大利）：

Actually, I have a lot of international friends, and we like to talk about the differences between my country and their country.

事实上，我有很多外国的朋友。我们喜欢谈论国与国之间的差异。

李菁怡（中国湖北 现居英国曼彻斯特）：

The most common topic we enjoy talking with each other is all related to some sort of culture exchange.

我和我的外国朋友最喜欢谈论的话题都与文化交流有关。

问题2：

How do you introduce example straditional Chinese culture to people from other countries?

你会向外国朋友介绍哪些中华优秀传统文化？

Varvara Savilova苏玉玲（俄罗斯人）：

The thing I want them to know about the most is square dancing. It show older Chinese people are satisfied with their lives. Even though they're old, they can still go dancing and do other things they enjoy.

阿姨的广场舞。让人觉得中国老人，中国人对生活很满意。就是如果你已经老了，还能去跳舞，还有做这么多乐意的事情。

Gan Jia le颜嘉乐（马来西亚）：

I talk about rituals, and filial piety. Because we grow up learning how tobe polite with others, building a very harmonious society.

是关于礼吧，然后还有孝道。就是从小会学习怎么跟人家礼貌地相处，就是建构一个非常和谐的一个社会。

林嘉城（中国上海）：

The cultural significance of traditional Chinese musical instruments. I was exposed to them when I was a child. I think it contains gentle romance from the deep in the heart of Chinese people, and also offers a unique insight into Chinese culture.

中国传统的乐器文化。一方面是我从小就有接触中国传统乐器。它包含着很多中国人的就是骨子里的一些温柔浪漫，然后一些中国独有的文化自信。

郑子懿（中国上海）：

I am very fond of Chinese opera and have studied it. I’ve performed forforeign friends and introduced them to these traditional Chinese art forms.

我是非常喜欢中国戏曲的，并且也是学过中国戏曲的。所以也确实有就是给外国朋友演出或者是向他们去介绍，这些中国传统的这种艺术形式。

问题3：

What does “Globalization” mean to you?

全球化对你意味着什么？

李菁怡（中国湖北 现居英国曼彻斯特）：

The world gets smaller, and the distance between people get closer.

世界越来越紧密，人与人之间的距离也越来越近。

Thortischor Chengxue（老挝）：

Not only can we buy products from every corner of the world, but we can also go online to learn more about the history and culture of other countries.

不仅仅能买到来自世界各地的商品，还可以在网上就了解到了各国的历史文化。

郑子懿（中国上海）：

In 2010, Shanghai hosted the World Expo. We visited a variety of different countries’ pavilions. It was the openness of China that impressed me much when I was a child.

在2010 年的时候，上海举办过上海世博会。看到了各种国家它们不同的风貌。这个是在我小时候比较印象深刻地感受到中国的这样的一种开放的态度。

问题4：

What do you think about China’s advocacy of an open world economy?

如何看待中国构建开放型的世界经济？

Thor La佟朗（老挝）：

China's building of an open world economy has offered our Laotian students many educational opportunities, and has helped economic development in Laos.

中国构建开放型的世界经济，让我们老挝同学有机会得到很多教育，也有助于我们老挝的经济发展。

Gan Jia le颜嘉乐（马来西亚）：

I think China is a very good economic partner for Malaysia and for other countries. We are now a Belt-and-Road country. The initiative doesn’t only bring economic development to China. It helps to improve the economy of my country as well.

中国对马来西亚或者对其他国家，是一个很好的经济合作伙伴。就比方说“一带一路”，我们马来西亚也是其中的一个合作国家，不仅促进中国的经济发展，也可以把我们国家的经济也可以变得更加强大。

林嘉城（中国上海）：

As the economy is continuously developing, more and more foreign companies have moved into China. There are more employment opportunities for us university students.

随着经济的发展，我们会发现越来越多的外企入驻了中国。对于我们大学生而言，我们在就业方面就得到了更多机会。

问题5：

How should Chinese people interact with the world?

你觉得中国人应该如何与世界打交道？

顾雨聪（中国上海）：

First of all, we are confident in ourselves. So we don't need to show anything deliberately, just be unassuming and present the most authentic version of ourselves.

我们首先自己对自己是有自信的，那你就不需要去刻意地表现什么，你只要做到不卑不亢，把最真实的自己做出来。

郑子懿（中国上海）：

Keep an open and accepting attitude. Because people from different countries may have different habits and ways of doing things.

保持一种开放和接纳的态度。因为各个国家的人他们可能会有不同的习惯和不同的生活方式。

Karl阮维盛（越南）：

I think openness is like living without any prejudice and judgement towards other people, other races and also other cultures. And I think it’s not only for people from China but like people around the world.

我认为开放就是生活中不以任何偏见和评判对待其他人、其他种族以及其他文化。这不仅适用于中国，也适用于全世界。

问题6：

How do you understand “a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind”?

如何理解人类命运共同体？

冯宁（山西 现居上海）：

A community of common destiny aims to pursue the interests of one country while taking into account the interests of others, and to promote a common development of all countries.

人类命运共同体，旨在追求本国利益的同时兼顾他国利益，在谋求本国发展中促进各国共同发展。

郑子懿（中国上海）：

We all live on this planet, so our futures are actually closely intertwined.

我们都生活在这个地球上，所以我们的未来其实是紧密地关联在一起的。

李菁怡（中国湖北 现居英国曼彻斯特）：

I think we are all equal and same in the very interconnected world.

我认为在这个紧密相连的世界上，我们都是平等的、一致的。

顾雨聪（中国上海）：

While looking out for our own country, we must also look at things from the perspective of all humanity, and whether we can realize global progress and mutually beneficial development.

为自己国家的利益着想的同时，也要站在全人类的角度上去思考，就是能不能做到让全球共同进步、共同发展。
