008 Extreme Weight Loss is Different

Losing a lot of weight and losing a little bit of weight are not the same thing. Being 30 pounds overweight and 180 pounds overweight is not the same thing. So why does the toxic diet culture ram solutions for relatively slender people down our throats and act like that's the only answer?

Losing a lot of weight is not a punishment; it needs to be a gradual and sustainable process. You can't successfully go from four burgers to one because you'll feel like you're starving and give up. 

In today's episode, we'll discuss how losing extreme amounts of weight is different from losing a little extra weight. I also share why you cannot afford to make radical changes to your eating patterns when you have a lot of weight to take off.
