A father of two, Jason Thompson is the creator of The Art of Dad, a sketch blog that chronicles the joys and pains of parenthood through cartoons and stories.
Jason is a dad and storyteller who believes in the importance of appreciating the little moments and the power of stories.
With over 20 years of experience working in children’s television, video gaming, advertising and mobile apps, Jason has worked as a writer, story artist, animation director, animator and designer with some of the biggest studios in Canada and the US.
Jason designed and illustrated the children’s book, “A Kids’ Guide to Mommy’s Breast Cancer” and for 12 years was a Professor of Animation and Game Design in the Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design at Sheridan College.
He currently lives on the side of the Rocky Mountains in Canmore, Alberta where he continues to work in the animation and game design world and as a painter of fine art.
