Matthew Hoadley is a trail runner and ultra runner based in Massachusetts. He is a recovering alcoholic, community organizer, and race director for the Womp Romp 50k and 10 miler. He is also a big part of the Freetrail Community helping to facilitate the Mental Health Office hours, a subgroup within Freetrail. He has also written a piece published by  Freetrail titled “We get to do this'' on his struggles with addiction and how running and meditation has helped to change his relationship with himself. Today we dive deep into Matt's story including some darker times in his past as he struggled with addiction and ultimately finding sobriety, running, and meditation.
