Becoming Single

  1. Let yourself feel whatever comes up. The good, the bad & the ugly.
  2. Grey rock method - make your future self proud & do things for the kids, not out of your emotion
  3. Love yourself through elevated self care & rituals
  4. Find patterns that bring you up & those that bring you down, then adjust & be boundaried
  5. Get into a support group or therapy so you don’t go through it alone. Learn from the relationship & create space for yourself to grow.
  6. Find single friends & enjoy your time (if you have it) without kids.
  7. Ask friends to help you set up your dating profile, don’t jump ahead & sign up to scope things out, sign up when you are ready.
  8. Date yourself, love yourself, dance for yourself, etc
  9. Get good at asking for help & receiving 
  10. Always have something to look forward to, even if it’s a nap
  11. Document so you can see progress.  I found patterns in my emotions by journaling.
