He is the founding executive editor of Wired Magazine and a former editor/publisher of the Whole Earth Review. When he was about 20 years old he dropped out of college to go to Asia. He arrived in Taiwan in 1972 and was blown away. He is known for his concept of 1,000 true fans, and his wisdom continually gets proven correct.
