She previously worked in community substance abuse treatment and at Counseling and Psychological Services at University of California, Santa Barbara. She received her PhD from Fordham University in the Bronx, New York City, and completed her clinical training at Bellevue Hospital Center. Her therapy practice specializes in working with individuals who have complicated relationships with their bodies, including working with eating disorders, substance use issues, trauma, medical illness and pain, and LGBTQ+ individuals, especially transgender individuals.
