It feels like shit to recognize your privilege for the first time. But once you see it, you can use that privilege to uplift or provoke. Some things are nuanced, and this one DEFINITELY is. I find it fascinating and important to have perspective and recognize that perspective is only afforded to those who aren't in survival mode (which a rich heiress would never understand, and I wish nobody had do understand, but I digress...)
Point is, society is broken, you aren't. You're in fact in the very lucky and beautiful window of humanity which are willing to see society has "painted over the light the the end of our tunnel, and it's going to take a community effort to stop the flow of paint, or chip away at the paint that is there" and that's fucking beautiful.
Truly, no shade to https://ballerinafarm.com/ I actually learned a lot from the content. But it's a brand! Not a realistic portrayal of one human. And I don't wish she had less privilege, I just wish we all had the same amount, to start.
thanks to @Caro on tiktok for this inspiration.
