Board-certified general internist, obesity medicine specialist, and low-carb, high-fat, ketogenic diet researcher Dr. Will Yancy is our guest today in Episode 1162 of “The Livin’ La Vida Low-Carb Show.”
Dr. Yancy is a board-certified general internist and obesity medicine specialist who received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, medical degree from East Carolina University and Masters in Health Sciences from Duke University. He did his training in Internal Medicine and was Chief Medical Resident at the University of Pittsburgh. His primary role is Director of the Duke University Diet and Fitness Center. He is also a physician in the Duke Lifestyle Medicine Clinic, Associate Professor of Medicine at Duke University and Research Scientist at the Durham VA Medical Center. Dr. Yancy is a Fellow of The Obesity Society and a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine. With over 100 scientific publications, Dr. Yancy has performed multiple clinical trials investigating the safety, effectiveness, tolerability, and feasibility of diets and medications for weight loss as well as a number of studies examining innovative approaches toward improving adherence to lifestyle recommendations and other treatments.
