Today I’m talking with Damon Oates from DecoExchange about how to build a profitable business by following your audience’s lead.
What is an emergent business?
An emergent business is one that “emerges” out of your audience’s wants and needs.
You come up with a hypothesis of what you think your customers will buy from you.
You launch your offering, and test the response. Then you listen closely to what your customers tell you about your product.
You continue to iterate based on their suggestions. Then you discover what other “adjacent” problems your customers are having, and solve them, too, by selling them solutions.
The exciting part about building an “emergent” business is that you don’t know the direction your business is going to take, but you follow your customers wants and needs and continual feedback to keep building.
Damon's business is such a great example of what this looks like. I also think you're going to love what a caring, sweet person he is.Definitely listen to this episode and reach out and tell me what your biggest insights are.
