In today's episode, I'm chatting with Lily Geiger, founder and CEO of the non-alcoholic aperitivo brand Figlia. Born in the pandemic, Figlia was created out of a desire to have more honest and inclusive conversations around alcohol consumption. After losing her father to alcoholism when she was 20 years old, Lily set out to create a zero-proof option for everyone, whether you’re sober, sober-curious, or just don’t feel like drinking. In this episode, Lily shares her experience being the child of an alcoholic parent and shares honestly on what it was like to grieve the loss of her father. We talk about our own relationship to alcohol currently and discuss our experiences socializing without alcohol in our twenties. Lily also shares about her entrepreneurial journey, how she started Figlia in the middle of the pandemic, and the challenges she’s faced along the way. Figlia has been featured in Vogue, the NY Times, and GQ among other publications.
