What does child grooming look like? Jan Broberg was just twelve years old when she was abducted by a friend of the family. Her abductor's entire life revolved around planning and executing this kidnapping. He manipulated everybody... Jan, her family, her sisters, the church community. They all believed he was a good guy. But he was a sociopath and he went to extreme lengths to achieve what he set out to do, groom a child to sexually abuse her. One in four girls and one in six boys have been sexually assaulted by someone who is familiar to them. These are terrifying statistics and it is the reason Jan continues to share her story to bring awareness to how deeply manipulative and easily missed this abuse can be.
