It's a real thing amongst some successful women where they feel compelled to hide their wealth or dim down their impact because they fear what people will say and think about them.

On the other hand, we have people who are overly exaggerating an appearance of success as to not lose relationships, or attract relationships they want—again fearing what people will think of them.
