“Slipping up” when trying to stop watching porn has become the normalised language that people use.
I know because I used to minimise and fail to take responsibility by calling my choices to engage a “slip up” in the past too.
This kind of language needs to be called out if we are to have any chance of empowering people to take back control from the addicted part of their mind.
