On today’s episode of the LLVLC Show, Jimmy pulls back the curtain on a jaw-dropping report about Coca-Cola.
“We already have an example of this with the tobacco companies back in the day.”
- Jimmy Moore
Most people who look at a research paper, attend a public health conference, or even hear recommendations from their own doctor assume that the information is scientific, accurate, and free from any outside influence. Unfortunately, the reality is that there is heavy influence from Big Pharma to Big Food that directly impacts your life because that gets trickled down to impact you eventually. And now we have a study that proves it.
In this episode of JIMMY RANTS on The LLVLC Show, I read from a published study detailing correspondence between representatives from the Coca-Cola Company and various researchers across the United States offering financial incentives to make presentations blaming physical activity and personal responsibility in obesity. The researchers poured over 37,000 pages of e-mail documents obtained through a freedom of information act request. What they find is damning evidence that Coke heavily influenced the direction of public health policy despite stating the opposite in their public relations.
Get the full details on what the researchers found along with my running commentary about it in today’s episode.
