Could your genetics determine which keto plan will work best for you? We talk all about this in Episode 1704 of JIMMY RANTS on the LLVLC Show.
“Just telling people to go keto is not enough. We need to know what kind of keto is going to work for that person.”
-Jimmy Moore
On today’s episode of JIMMY RANTS on The LLVLC Show, I share a newly published paper in the journal BMJ Nutrition, Prevention & Health by Dr. Lucia Aronica, Dr. Jeff Volek, Dr. Angela Poff (@angelapoff), and Dr. Dominic D’Agostino (@dominic.dagostino.kt) entitled “Genetic variants for personalised management of very low carbohydrate ketogenic diets” (LINK TO STUDY: Genetic variants for personalised management of very low carbohydrate ketogenic diets | BMJ Nutrition, Prevention & Health). They put out the call for clinicians and researchers to look more closely at individual patient genetics to determine the effectiveness of using a ketogenic diet therapy. With all the genetic testing at our disposal nowadays, this seems like a logical next step in creating an environment for people to be successful in their weight and health goals. This is hot off the presses and so important! ENJOY!
