Lesley Logan: Hello. Be It babe. Welcome back to your F Y F. It's like, yeah, Friday. Oh my gosh. I feel like we need to dance. I need a little disco. We need a little jingle. Um, I want like some sound effects. Imma work on that. Anyways, um, this is where if you're new this podcast and this is the one you landed on. Hello, I'm Lesley Logan, and Fridays we do something fun.


Of yours, I share one of mine, and then we go on about celebrating our weekend. Um, and that's so important to me because ditching perfection comes from collecting data and collecting data, a k a means results. So celebrating the things you did do, it builds confidence, I [00:01:00] promise. Um, if you're like, huh, that's interesting, what else is here?


Well, then you'll also find interviews and recaps and please, Binge on out on the podcast. I love doing that with new podcasts, so have fun doing it with this one. For those who've been here already. Hello. Welcome back. Here we go. So Allison Whipple, she's one of our agency members. I freaking love this girl. Um, I mean, I love all of my agency members, but, um, she's been kicking some ass and this is just one of her mini wins.


So this is her latest one, um, that she wanted share with you guys, which is y'all. I just made a LinkedIn video on my lunch break. I recorded it on my walk. And the message is about the importance of taking time for you during your workday. Very in line with my messaging and without specifically being about Pilates.


I know my ICA is on LinkedIn. I've been terrified about showing up there for a fear of what my coworkers at my day job might think. Engineers all follow each other and they're all on LinkedIn a lot. That's in parentheses, and this is all information for me cuz I'm, I'm not hanging on LinkedIn as not as much as I'm supposed to be.


We'll get there. So I realize I don't really show up as an authentic [00:02:00] self at work, and I'm afraid of what my boss will think about me making a video about employees taking breaks. I actually, uh, talked to myself out of it and then made myself go back to my desk, get my phone and earbuds. I still don't have AirPods and just hit record.


So far I haven't immediately been fired. So I love this because she talked herself out of it, and then she's like, no, I'm doing it anyways. And you know, I think we, there's a lot of times we don't do the thing that is being until we see it, because we're afraid of what others are gonna say. But those other people are not the people that she's trying to convince to take pilates with her.


So, um, Also second part of her win. I had some great clarity yesterday. I had a job interview and they really want me, but I don't want them. The money is better, but it's a longer commute, expectation of overtime. And honestly, I hate writing proposals, so when they make me the offer, I'll decline. But doing interviews gave me clarity.


I hate where I am at right now, but if I have to have a corporate job for a while longer, it needs to be work [00:03:00] from home or in the city proper. No more long commutes in the western suburbs, and it needs to be a position where I'm developing and giving trainings. I love to teach. I love to write, and I hate writing as a day job.


Training is where I belong, so now I have, I can direct that accordingly. Uh, the person who interviewed me told the recruiter I have the IT factor, which was super surprising to hear. I have never seen myself as someone who has it, but I apparently do and it's worth exploring and cultivating that apparently I have an inner charisma I wasn't aware of.


Well Allison, you do, you have the it factor. I could tell you that. Um, I've had the pleasure of meeting you in person and your joy for what you do is just really incredible. So I am so thankful for you for sharing that. I hope that everybody, you could hear yourself and like, have you ever talked yourself outta being it till you see it?


Have you ever talked yourself outta doing something? Have you ever taken a job just because someone offered it to you? Anyways, you have permission to say no. Okay, my win, we hit 200 episodes. Woo. Okay, so here's the deal. I know we've [00:04:00] been celebrated a little bit, like I talked about last week. Um, and you can see the numbers, so obviously it's coming.


However, to be honest, two years ago when I started this, I, that number 200 sounded so far away. It sounded so intimidating. And, um, podcasting in general has really been this like force of me having to Be It Till I See It. Because I didn't really know how to interview. I, I'm someone who's like, afraid to ask questions in a big group in front of people.


So asking questions in front of you can be the biggest group in the world. Um, so it really was a struggle for me to, like, I wanted to get started cuz I wanted to have something for you to see how you can do things when you're not competent in them, that you can actually take action and act like the person you want it to be.


So hitting these 200 episodes is like it. It is such an incredible achievement and it is not something I did alone, which makes it even more fun cuz I was definitely the person who was like, don't put me on a team project. Oh my God, never. And instead, um, there's so many [00:05:00] people, if you ever listen to the credits all the way through and you should, cuz there's outtakes.


Um, there are so many people who touch this podcast to bring it to you. Every single, every single week, multiple times a week. And the amount of people we get wanting to be on the show, um, the amount of people who share the show, there are people, I just had someone share the show. I didn't even know I was listening, and she'd been listening forever and she's a dear friend, and it just like brought me so much joy.


So we had 200 episodes. That to me, is a huge win. It's a, it's a win for my entire team. And, um, I'm not hitting 200 episodes going, Ooh, done there. I'm actually hitting 200 episodes going, okay, now what? What's next? And we're gonna hit 300 episodes even faster, cuz now we got this FYF. So y'all. You are part of this week's win for me.


You're a big time part of this week's win. We would not be able to display without you. I promise you. My team will be like, Lesley, we're not doing a podcast and no one's listening.
