In this Studio Special, I'm sharing advocacy work I originally created through the GLP-1 Collective, where I serve as founder and executive director. This statement was part of our ongoing effort to ensure patient voices are heard in federal decision-making around the GLP-1 medication shortage.

The shortage crisis has forced patients into impossible situations—choosing between financial devastation and leaving a chronic disease untreated, or turning to unsafe alternatives when every legitimate access point fails them. This isn't acceptable, and it isn't something patients should navigate alone.

This piece calls on the FDA to respond with the urgency this moment demands while maintaining scientific rigor. Patients deserve a seat at the table when decisions directly impact their health, safety, and future.
