One of the fears that people have (and I definitely had it myself) is that if they cut sugar from their diet, then there's nothing left to eat.
I mean, sugar is everywhere. Right?
Well, not quite.
Sugar - added sugar I mean - is nowhere to be found in whole foods: in fruits and vegetables, for example.
But it is a very common additive in industrial highly processed foods, or "ultra processed foods" as they're known.
And many studies have shown that there's a link between chronic inflammation and a high consumption of prepackaged foods like pizzas, frozen dinners, sauces and condiments, and obvious sources of sugar like sodas, cookies and pastries.
So less sugar means less chronic inflammation, and a lower risk of conditions such as heart disease, obesity, diabetes, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, allergies, digestive issues, and fatty liver disease.
So... can you imagine how you would feel with less sugar and less inflammation?
