259. Working Mom Mindset: When You Know Better, Do Better - The Power of Self-Awareness for Working Moms
Hi Mamas,
This week, we’re diving deep into one of the most important skills every working mom can develop: self-awareness. Because real growth doesn’t happen when you simply notice what’s happening to you… it happens when you notice how you’re showing up in it.
We’re breaking down this quote by Maya Angelou… “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”
Inside This Episode, We’ll Talk About:
✔️ How to give yourself grace for past mistakes and moments of overwhelm
✔️ Turning self-awareness into intentional action (without needing to be perfect)
✔️ Letting go of judgment… toward others and yourself
✔️ Real-life examples of “doing better” as a mom, wife, and professional
✔️ A mindset shift that turns guilt into growth
💛 This Week’s Mindset Challenge:
✨ Notice one area this week where you’ve “learned better.”
Maybe it’s how you manage your mornings, react to stress, or judge that mom at drop-off who clearly had one of those mornings.
Then ask yourself: What does “doing better” look like in this area…today?
Keep it small. Maybe it’s pausing before reacting, saying no without guilt, or putting your phone down and being fully present.
Remember… growth isn’t about being flawless; it’s about giving yourself grace for the woman you were yesterday and trying to do just a little better today.
