Former professional footballer, founder of My Alter Athlete and online running coach, Greg Pearson came on the pod to discuss coaching and training. We dive into realistic goal setting, tracking progress, periodised training, structuring sessions and the mentalitiy behind reaching your potential.
Greg explains some common running jargon such as fartlek, tempo, threshold and explains the purpose of each of them in your training program. We discuss the importance of deload weeks and explain how to incorporate them into your training. Further Greg delves into his philosophy on pushing the limits, avoiding injury and adhearing to the plan.
