In a previous podcast conversation, we discussed gender-affirming care primarily through the lens of writing support letters for gender-affirming surgeries. Today, we’re coming at it from more of a neuropsychological perspective. I’m fortunate to have Dr. Emily Trittschuh and Dr. Jae Purnell here to talk through the ins and outs of gender-diverse neuropsychological assessment. We cover topics such as…

  • What the literature really says about brain-based sex differences
  • The role of test norms in gender-affirming assessment
  • Language considerations in gender-affirming assessment
  • Gender-affirming interview and report-writing skills
  • Cool Things Mentioned

    • The Testing Psychologist mastermind groups and business consulting
    • The gender unicorn graphic
    • WPATH
    • APA guidelines on working with trans people
    • Trans Bodies, Trans Selves book
    • The Queer Neuropsychological Society
