#45: The Positive Impact of 'Community'

Community - A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. 

Community is also my word of the year for 2019....And a critical component helping me live a meaningful and purpose-driven life. 

My 3 Communities - Sobriety, Yoga, & Bay Club. 

  1. Sobriety - 12 step mtgs, men's small group, and being a sponsor/sponsee.
  2. Yoga - A student and teacher surrounded with other spiritually-inspired friends on similar path.
  3. Bay Club - Perfect place for intimate conversations and self care.

    4. For me:

    • Disconnection = Addiction
    • Connection = Recovery
    • Community = Connection 

      • We cannot do life alone. Community allows us to give space for others to be seen and heard, to give permission for others to share their expeirnce and truth.
