#47 Learning To Love Yourself with Natalie Russell

The relationship you have with yourself is the most important relationship you'll ever have yet is one that so many of us neglect.

A lack of self love can have a significant impact on both your physical and mental health, causing a whole range of issues such as low self esteem, difficulty in forming healthy relationships and negative self talk.

The good news is that this relationship can be rebuilt whatever stage of life you're at, even from a place of deep self hatred, just as this week's podcast guest, Natalie Russell, did.

For many years, Natalie's life was consumed by chaos, trauma and addiction resulting in several stints in prison.  Her cripplingly low self-esteem led to unhealthy and toxic relationships that fed her belief that she was never going to be enough.

Thankfully, Natalie found the strength to start her healing journey and through a lot of deep personal development work has transformed her life, and she now helps others to do the same through her work as a  Self Esteem and Relationship Coach.

Throughout the process, Natalie has learned that mending the relationship she has with herself has been pivotal in her healing journey.

Natalie reminds us, however, despite her inspiring story of transformation, that healing from trauma is an ongoing journey.  For Natalie,  it continues to show up in various guises such as in the disregulation of her hormones and extreme perimenopause symptoms.
